You cats can sleep if you want but it has the best combat system in an RPG ever IMO and I'm not even a big fan of turn based games.

what character class should i start with?
you start by creating two characters. early in the game you can also recruit 2 more companions. there are 4 companions to choose from: a knight, wizard, ranger, and rouge

magic and elemental effects are strong in this game, so I would recommend a party with two magic users (with different specializations). the wizard (Jahan) you can recruit early specializes in electric and water magic, so I would make one of my two characters specialize in fire magic, and maybe summoning

what you do with your other character kinda depends on your preference. the character creator is actually really open, and I think your class only really determines your starting weapon (an archer gets a bow, etc). beyond that you can choose whatever abilities. personally I restarted this game a few times trying to figure out what kind of characters I wanted

Got to around level 5 before I restarted with 2 mages, who are a lot more versatile early in the game, especially with environmental damage combos. After that I just rolled with the two NPCs you find, Madora and Jahan. So now I got 2 mages, a healer/mage and a warrior. Over all I try to keep a few of the same spells on each character because the combos let you "punch above your weight class", so to speak. I was level 12 killing level 16 shyt because of Midnight Oil + Fireball + Teleportation. Or Rain + Lightning Bolt +Teleportation. Enemy gets too close, drop their ass into an electrified puddle.

Jahan is mad useful because he can craft shyt. Since I've beaten the game they added two more NPCs like @daze23 said, a rogue and a ranger. Also early in the game you gain access to a kind of "home base" where you can hire other NPCs if you want to experiment.

You will need a guide for this game, trust me. It's insanely big and has a fukk ton of hidden/not obvious content.

for those that don't want to watch the video:

-Enhanced Edition coming to PS4 and X1
-controller support (obviously) and splitscreen co-op
-new voice overs and other improvements
-'free' update for those that already own it on PC

Man this game is so motherfukking crack. :ahh:

It might be my favorite RPG of all time. I'm beating it again when the enhanced version drops.
