To Apple??? Hell fukking no, fukk Apple. They haven't done anything worth a damn since the very first IPhone. They're the reason phones don't have headphone jacks anymore and don't come with charging boxes. Them nikkas can go to hell.

There's a lot of uneven tables out there that need propping up.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Just end Disney +, it's pointless. Why not take a cut from Netflix from your properties so they can show them and call it a day? That's the real issue here.
That’s probably what really caused all of this.

When Disney + first dropped, people complained about no marvel content. So then they started dropping shows. There wasn’t any issues in 2021, but last year people started to complain. It’s was too much and loosely tying in shyt wasn’t working especially since it wasn’t chronological.

Moon Knight was filler. It was loosely connected to Thor 4. And the actor only signed on to do one series.

Nope...

What caused all this is hiring creatively bankrupt political activists and giving them the keys to the castle...This caused a shift from making entertainment for all to using their IPs as a trojan horse for spreading leftist political agenda...This naturally pissed off and alienated the other half of the aisle leading to a massive plunge in viewership...When they get back to just focusing on entertainment they'll start making money again...Iger is going to have to completely clean house to get there...

Nobody cares about that DeSantis nonsense. If you mean little mermaid, then that is a larger issue. If you own a TV network, there is no need for a separate streaming service, just make the TV network one like Comcast did with peacock.

I don't think Disney+ was a mistake but I think the way they ran it was. The initial reaction to Disney+ was "oh snap I can watch all the classics from my childhood." My mom signed up specifically to watch Lady & The Tramp lol. Add in the movies from later decades, Disney Channel shows etc etc and it's quite an impressive amount of content. There was no real need to spend insane amounts of money on any new shows, IMO. Sure Mandolarian made sense but virtually everything else? Ehhh.

I would have focused on Disney Channel type new shows for kids and teens, a couple MCU shows, one Star Wars show, and that's that. Let the rest of the catalog carry you. It's not like anyone has watched everything on there by now lol.

I'm not talking about pudding fingers, he can go fukk himself...

I'm talking about the message pandering, lazy dumb shyt like token race swapping and awful written masculine female characters to appease Twitter feminist extremists...

Black Panther raked in over a billion and Wakanda Forever fell just shy of a billion...CLEARLY there is a market for content with ORIGINAL black character leads...The reason Disney chooses not to make a new original black princess is because they are CREATIVELY BANKRUPT, they don't have the creative talent on staff to write a new character and story and make it a success...This is why they choose to do remakes, the story is already written and these IPs have a fanbase already...They start adding "the message" into the story, piss off half that fanbase and call them racists, bigots, phobes, mysoginists etc...Its been the same fukking script for every Disney movie since The Last Jedi rinse and repeat...

This clearly isn't working yet they continue doing it...This is the central issue with their content and why Disney + is hurting, the content is trash...

Get out of politics, listen to the fanbase and get back to making quality entertainment for them, that's how you return to profitability...

They released it with one show. They had to know that eventually people would get tired of watching the classics and want more new content. But they didn't do a great job of diversifying that content either. It was literally all Marvel and Star Wars.

To be honest, the only thing they did right was STAR WARS on Disney + People were craving for that world to be expanded and the new movies aren't cutting it. It's time to name Favreau and Filoni the heads of Lucas Film, and let them steer the new path in film & TV.

The Marvel stuff doesn't work, because people were used to gritty Marvel shows like the ones on Netflix. The audience for TV and Movies is not the same. In the streaming world of TV, people want adult stories. Disney + is gonna have to start making adult TV MA shows if they want to survive.

Or they need to end FX and just make HULU the adult channel. shyt is redundant.

That's what all them studios should've done but they had to go off and create their own Netflix and now everybody has one and nobody's eating:dead:

I don't think the plan is bad, I think the execution is poor. Disney+ wasn't ready to launch an app. They rushed it. The classic content and The Mandalorian sparked all that initial interest and then people was like "we getting Marvel too" so it kinda made sense but they didn't have the content ready to go and again they never diversified their portfolio. There's a lot of people who want Disney content but don't fukking care about Marvel/Star Wars.

HBO Max had the best chance of succeeding (and still does) because they already had a lot of different types of shows coming out and in the pipeline, something for everyone. Plus, they had their archieved classics. Plus, they have a 100 years worth of movies on there from all genres. Plus, they were already streaming shyt live on HBO Go.

But all the fukkery with AT&T and then another merger stunted the growth. I think they can still get there (and they claim they are profitable now) but it will take time.

The other services don't seem to have as deep of a library.
