Honestly I don’t think Disney realized how good HBO Max was going to be on roll out.

The lesson here is if you ain’t first (Netflix) you better come correct (HBO Max)
At least Disney was on all platforms at launch. Let's not kid ourselves HBO max is floundering which is why they made that power move.

LOL HBO Max is failing, despite being a dope service, they are not in competition with Netflix or even Disney + with just the Mandalorean propping it up, let alone a merge with Hulu.

Let's guess the new name:
Disney Hulu
Disneylu
HuluDis
HuDis
Dislu

Keep it simple

Disney +
Disney 18+

Start a new Marvel Max imprint or repurpose Touchstone Pictures for Marvel Studios.

Done and done. Hulu was always a dumb name lol

I signed up for the three in one Disney+, Hulu (I already had Hulu premium), and ESPN+ plan at launch. After the first season of The Mandalorian, the only thing that made me keep Disney+ was the other two services. Before Mando season 2, I opened the app two or three times:mjlol:

This is the obvious way to go with this. nikkas thought nostalgia was gonna let this service succeed despite a lack of original content. I started watching shyt from my child hood and turned that shyt off quick fast like Ramadan when I saw something like The Witcher, or ironically, Ramy started a new season. Consolidate that shyt:dahell:
After doing a re-watch of Gargoyles and watching the first season of The Mandalorian, I probably went to the Disney+ app 5 times until the 2nd season of The Mandalorian dropped.

I feel like they did the math and realized they were not being competitive with Netflix of HBO Max based on their current structure. Hell the only reason it’s not clear to everyone now that Disney+ is number 3 (or 4) in the stream wars is HBO Max has been so slow on their platform roll out everyone hasn’t had a chance to really look at it.

Combining Disney+ and Hulu gets them back into the conversation as a must have service and which is the best company between them, Netflix, and HBO.
The big three of streaming is Netflix, Amazon and Hulu

Amazon has more "subscribers" to their service because it's a blanket deal with Prime but nobody actually watches more than a couple shows. It's a losing venture for Amazon, it's simply another tool to get people to sign up to Prime.

They are not in the conversation. Right now the clear best two are Netflix and HBO Max.

Kids watch it some, actually see them on Hulu more often. I usually be in the Marvel section when I do, which isn't that often, I haven't even seen Mandalorian season 2 yet, I'm gonna wait til it's finished then binge it..whenever lol

Truth be told, the majority of people on Disney + are really just biding their time for MCU content. The legacy stuff is dope, but once they drop Wandavision and now probably Black Widow shyt is a wrap. Even more so if Hulu just becomes Disney 18+

The majority probably cancel like me. I paid for the 2-3 year membership deal.
