Beyoncé has more Grammys, more # 1 hits, more sold out shows, higher grossing tours, and more record sales than Dione whorebytch. Their career accolades aren’t even close. Beyoncé first went platinum over 21 years ago and is still a top name in music.

She's an iconic performer but the solo shyt doesn't match all the hype.

No matter what you type, her destiny's child tracks are superior to her solo work despite a lot of questionable lyrics on those joints. Mj's solo work is on par with the jackson 5 stuff.

:hubie:

You could be right.... a lot of cats say numbers don’t matter..... but Bey does have a decent number of joints that are loved globally.... and she will be touring off those joints for another 10 years easily... if that ain’t iconic.... :yeshrug:

This is why I can't talk about music with certain people because many can't understand the dynamics when reviewing music & how to properly rate an artist place in history in retrospective :snoop:.

I can't stand casual music listeners that only care about "hot singles / record sales / awards" and probably never listened to an album outside of a "greatest hits" CD like no wonder that's why The Booth section is wack these days:bryan:.

Nah, it ain't about the music. It's looks man. Even Jay z got more memorable solo hits than her.

I liked hammers albums even the ones he made before he blew up. His shyt was good. Wtf are you saying? Nobody has spoken about sales except you.

nikka WTF are YOU saying...this topic ain't about what you like or what you think is good :what:

i've never read, or heard anybody call "private dancer" a classic album, it was a hit album for the time by a popular artist, for that time.

and again, MC HAMMER had a much more talked about and bigger selling album than Private Dancer - nobody would call that shyt a classic.

Dionne Warwick one of my favorite artists of all-time. “Anyone Who Had a Heart” is an amazing song. She’s also second only to Aretha for most charted female vocalist of all-time. Also really knows her advanced music theory which made a lot songwriters and producers love to work with her because she could understand what they were doing and knew how enhance or adjust it.

A lot of folks probably don’t even know Dionne Warwick talks a ton of shyt too. She for real doesn’t bite her tongue. I remember there was a time everybody would cover her songs and try to get on Billboard with the covers. She said something in an interview once that was directed precisely at another artist: “I told her I could sneeze on a track and she’d put it on her next song.” Her and Aretha had a little rivalry and if she ain’t back down from Aretha she ain’t backing down to any other singer.

Beyonce will go down as an icon though. Wherever you personally rate her though is where you rate her.

Janet Jackson didn’t have a great voice at all, and was in some ways over produced.... but she got a lot of bangers and was a helluva performer.... is she an icon to you, and why?

But that’s her opinion. A lot of the people who would agree have artist they hold in high regard. It’s kind of non-sense to think that a artists as big as Beyoncé doesn’t have classic to those that love her.
Classic singles but not albums like maybe to you bubblegum pop :lolbron: ass dudes that's all it takes to be one of the "greatest" alone but nah it takes more than singles bruh.

Her albums are trash.

Stop crying like a bytch. Hammer got more memorable solo hits than beyonce. Same with Jay z. Wtf is your point? U are focused on album sales. I never talked about revenue.
