I can find any song in the world with one google search

I can find any song in the world with one google search
Yeah that’s because a lot of y’all are
I doubt a majority of the juggalo community even knows how to stream music or what a streaming service is
Son I have music that u can’t even find on the net. I promise u that. shyt. If u are an Aaliyah or De La Soul fan. U fukked. That’s goes for other artists too who went thru label issues. Clearance issues. Music people forgot about. I PROMISE u I have music from artists that u either don’t remember or isn’t available on streaming anywhere. I’ve had to even upload certain shyt to the internet just so the internet can have it.
It’s not unreleased music. Right now. Go try to steam or buy an Aaliyah album that ain’t the first one. shyt. What about when Jay Z pulled his shyt from every streaming service except his own? U can’t even stream his albums on YouTube. Fortunately he made shyt available on Apple Music. It wasn’t before tho. So what u had to do? Get Tidal. But if u ain’t have Tidal? But had Spotify. U gotta subscribe to multiple services to listen to all the music u want to. And nikka that’s Jay Z. One of the biggest hip hop artists in the world. I’m not even saying keep physical media laying around. But atleast if u had the physical. U can extract the music from it and save it on a hard drive. So u atleast have it when either the label, artist, or streaming corporation decides they either wanna remove it or change some shyt.that’s great breh, I’m happy for you
But I promise you I can live the rest of my life pretty happily without unreleased de la soul cd’s
Like... I see y’all position. I respect it. You like to collect music. That’s fine. I collect sneakers that I don’t even wear, so again I get it. Music just isn’t that for me

The point is the harder the industry makes it to actually purchase music. The lower the sales will be for legacy artists. Because their fans don’t sit around streaming music all day to run the numbers up. This isn’t the way they consume music. Especially when it comes to hip hop. Basically if these newer artists had to depend on album sales. They would be fukked. The same way these older artists are getting fukked by having to depend on streaming. When their audience isn’t tailored for that.
I’m not a sheep, I just have the internet
why would I give a fukk about a collection of music. I can find any song in the world with one google search
The likelihood of that changing is very low chief. I listen to music. I don’t need to possess it.
this isn’t a point
it’s like saying new artist in the 90s would be fukked if they had to rely on cassette sales
True I can't find that 17 minute freestyle with had, meek, kaboom and all them. I need that.well for starters, it sounds like youre not really into music LIKE THAT. and youre basing your argument too much around yourself.
theres alot of music that people downloaded heavy 15 years ago, that they cant even find anymore.
take for instance the recent thread about philly dvd rappers. people that didnt have access to the physical copies and followed them thru stuff like datpiff, are clamoring for alot of the music now.
CDs were an upgrade from cassettes in every possible way outside of recording; but they were compatible with cassettes in that regard - which also gave cassettes a second shelf-life.
completely different dynamic.
Yes it is a point. Cause Cassettes were still a thing in the 90s there was a choice. CD’s was just an evolution as far as sound quality goes. Plus it’s all physical media. It’s purchase and be done with it. Simple shyt, having to rely on streaming is hard for older people because like I said they don’t consume music at the same rate for the most part. They have to stream the shyt a bunch of times for it to count as a sale and this is where the disconnect comes. Older gen doesnt sit there and stream the same shyt from they phone a million times a day. They don’t listen to music in that type of way. It’s more spread out.

And these are the issues people are gonna keep running into. I have so much shyt on a hard drive or on physical that isn’t available on the internet. It would be like it didn’t exist if I didnt keep a digital or physical copy. People are completely reliant on corporations to feed them the music these days and that SUCKS.True I can't find that 17 minute freestyle with had, meek, kaboom and all them. I need that.
I think they all rapped over banned from TV.
Well....these were underground artists before the internet popped off.And these are the issues people are gonna keep running into.
