Electric cars are trash. A dub for 80% charge and that's at a fast charger. They have different levels of "fast charging" set by the station owner. So it can actually cost you $20 to get 60% charge. Then you have different wallets for different charging networks. That's like needing a different virtual wallet to pump gas at Royal Farms, another for Citgo, another for WaWa, Chevron etc. shyts retarded.

most eletric engines are only 190-250 mile range as well and thats with out AC, wear and tear, etc. which lowers it even lower than that. Its definitely not the value they are hyped up to be. Possibly slightly cheaper than a gas vehicle at moderate gas prices when everything accounted for.

They used to give a HUGE tax break/refund for getting one though (like $7500 or some shyt) not sure if they if they still do that. That was a major drive in sales a few years ago

Cost per mile is still generally way cheaper than gasoline, more so with home charging. Most people should be able to get to 80% charge overnight. If you drive less than a 150 - 200 miles a day, you won't need to pay for public charging. There are also additional savings with electric vehicles because most of the maintenance items associated with traditional engines aren't required for electric motors.

However, until the charging infrastructure is dramatically expanded, having an electric car can require some planning at times. If you value the convenience of fueling up on a whim and within only a few minutes, we're still many years off.
