The Jenny character is a lily white girl who wasnt racist but after he mother got killed by a bunch of black "savages'" and now is racist towards them.The author is trying to make the reader be sympathetic and understand her reason being racist. Oh no she wasnt racist it was those black acting uncivilized that made her racist. You heard alot of this after ferguson and Baltimore from conservatives saying they wasnt racist before but now they are after blacks acted like animals. I actually made a very long post after Hurricane Sandy which was a mini disaster compared to Katrina. We were without power / water for a week and I was good and that's before I had my own place
You made a good post here before where it's about more than just guns, it's about food, water, power source, medical supplies, communications systems, sharing of resources with trusted community members, security plan, evacuation plan etc etc
