Notice that those guys that end up getting their break outside of wrestling too immediately change their tune, start apologizing to Rock, and start realizing how fukked up things actually are in WWE.
People are still mad at him for leaving. Just look at this thread.
He was in a guest role on a tv show with Jaleel white as well on UPN..HHH is full of shyt. He was trying to do the same thing, it's just that it never took off for him. He was doing guest spots on the fukking Drew Carey Show, had that small role in Blade Trinity, and was pushing HARD to get a role in a Conan movie.
I honestly dont know...![]()
First of all, I think this beef between HHH and Rock is blown way out of proportion. Secondly, I just dont see HHH moving on from the company even if he did become a successful movie star. With him being married to Stephanie, he was always going to be involved
Their beef NOW is overblown, but back in the day shyt was as real as it gets. Too many people from the attitude era have stories about HHH trying to bury the Rock backstage. They get along now because they're not directly competing against each other.
Like I said HHH was trying REALLY hard to get into acting, especially when it came to that Conan role. It's worth noting that Rock was never going to leave the company either. He was going to do the same shyt that Cena is transitioning to doing now, but WWE "forgot" to renew his contract so he severed all ties for a period of time.
The dude is so charismatic. He was definitely going to go down as an American icon.and the Rock really blew up in hollywood so in an ironic way its the wwe's fault...
or maybe it was his destiny...![]()
He didn't go home..he actually made a star. Shawn, Taker, Cripple H...none of them was doing that in 2002. At all.He mostly got shyt because he cut that promo on Austin taking his ball & going home & then he goes and does the same thing

Race to Witch Mountain - $50 million budget/ $106 million gross
Planet 51 - $70 million budget/ $105 million gross
The Game Plan - $22 million budget/ $147 million gross
The Tooth Fairy - $48 million budget/ $112 million gross
Faster - $24 million budget/ $35 million gross
Those are the five movies he made before coming back to WWE that he had a headlining role in. The only one that bombed was Faster, which was a low budget R rated revenge flick. Every other film he did turned a profit. The problems with his movies weren't that they weren't making money, the problem was that most of them sucked and were bad family movies.
