Notice that those guys that end up getting their break outside of wrestling too immediately change their tune, start apologizing to Rock, and start realizing how fukked up things actually are in WWE.

Juan in a nutshell :Cenameh:

People are still mad at him for leaving. Just look at this thread.

I know right. Why leave a silly carny business full of bullshyt where people put shyt in your food to become the biggest movie star on the planet/highest paid actor on the planet/one of the biggest celebrities in the world/loved by millions and millions/left while his body was still in one piece/left as one of the GOAT's and maybe even potential President of USA?

What a piece of shyt for leaving.

HHH is full of shyt. He was trying to do the same thing, it's just that it never took off for him. He was doing guest spots on the fukking Drew Carey Show, had that small role in Blade Trinity, and was pushing HARD to get a role in a Conan movie.
He was in a guest role on a tv show with Jaleel white as well on UPN..:pachaha:

I honestly dont know...:wtf:

shyt weird to me...I don't think I even fully appreciated Rock until he left. I was always rooting for the heel but I feel lucky as hell to say I got to see Rock in his prime. We got to watch this dude live on TV from the beginning and it's crazy to see where dude is now but looking back at it it's not hard to believe. The pops he got...his crowd control...dude carried the company with ease and arguably became bigger then Austin when he got hurt.

If dudes think he was corny that's cool I can't argue with that. That's just matter of opinion. Its just most of the time I see a Rock thread on here it's more hate than praise. Same nikkas that will make sure they in front of a TV if they hear a rumor Rock might pop up on Raw :gucci:

First of all, I think this beef between HHH and Rock is blown way out of proportion. Secondly, I just dont see HHH moving on from the company even if he did become a successful movie star. With him being married to Stephanie, he was always going to be involved

Their beef NOW is overblown, but back in the day shyt was as real as it gets. Too many people from the attitude era have stories about HHH trying to bury the Rock backstage. They get along now because they're not directly competing against each other.

Like I said HHH was trying REALLY hard to get into acting, especially when it came to that Conan role. It's worth noting that Rock was never going to leave the company either. He was going to do the same shyt that Cena is transitioning to doing now, but WWE "forgot" to renew his contract so he severed all ties for a period of time.

In 2002 they hated him..in 2008, they begged him to come back while shytting on the roster and Hogan at the time. Greatness Knows No Limits.

He didn't go home..he actually made a star. Shawn, Taker, Cripple H...none of them was doing that in 2002. At all.

Rock was putting in mad work on the acting shyt...:ld: Austin doesnt have the same chops...

Batista does though surprisingly...:leon:

Race to Witch Mountain - $50 million budget/ $106 million gross

Planet 51 - $70 million budget/ $105 million gross

The Game Plan - $22 million budget/ $147 million gross

The Tooth Fairy - $48 million budget/ $112 million gross

Faster - $24 million budget/ $35 million gross

Those are the five movies he made before coming back to WWE that he had a headlining role in. The only one that bombed was Faster, which was a low budget R rated revenge flick. Every other film he did turned a profit. The problems with his movies weren't that they weren't making money, the problem was that most of them sucked and were bad family movies.

If a film doesn't gross 3x its budget it is considered a flop in the film industry

I don't know about the wrestlers but I remember the vibe online back in the day.

"The Rock is nothing but a sellout."

"Please come back Rock, stop making shytty movies."

"Stop calling yourself Dwayne Johnson, you're still The Rock. Are you ashamed of wrestling?"

"He owes us another match, he's selfish and too Hollywood to care about us."

All the while I started to be glad the Rock was gone because he was one of my favorite wrestlers back in the day and you really started to see what kind of 'fans' those people were. They support you while you're in the company but if you want to leave for another career they complain, basically they don't care about you at all.

You really got to see how selfish a lot of folks were when it came to him leaving. Like they were the ones dealing with the mental, physical and emotional stress of the job. It was honestly disgusting.
