Pretty sure this was their last run. I would say they met expectations, overachieving would have been winning that third one IMO.

they won 2 rings. If thet didnt get a ring i would agree they underachieved. Now if miami only gets 1 ring they would def underachieve since they were talking about 6 rings at one time lol

Taking into account age, injuries, the complete lack of a bench, and Gasol being soft I'd say they did as well as one could expect. 3 straight trips for the finals and two straight NBA championships is pretty damn good.

They did what most reasonable people would expect, or better. Winnings titles is HARD.

That's just how good Kobe really is. He wins two rings and people still expect more from him.

It's funny cause it's kind of true.

Last season the Lakers failed to do what any team has done in decades (4 straight trips to the finals) and people treat act as if it was the worst showing by a defending champion in NBA history.

If that Chris Paul trade had went through the Lakers probably would've beaten the Thunder. Hell they gave away an couple of games that series they should've won.

People call him the best player of this generation (they're wrong but whatever) so we should have the highest possible expectations for him.
