I know some obscure rappers said it in a rare song or two before but, I don't recall it being a part of everyday vernacular in 2003, 2005, 2007 etc. We just said "sucka for love" back then.

I first remember people saying "Simp" on SOHH / AllHipHop-The IC starting in 2009ish, 2010ish. The Coli obviously in 2012.

Now white people using it on TikTok and YouTube

I really feel like The Coli be popularizing alot of shyt on the low. People take shyt from here (SOHH/The IC before) and post it to social media sites and then it flies off from there.
