I tried VR on the Samsung and it was pretty cool , the graphics were kinda shyt but the overall exp was nice

Now can Sony make a good VR exp? Maybe I hope so


I tried some apps where I could walk around in a VR world and it blew me away , now hopefully the graphics aren't bad , also were gonna be able to play Fallout in VR I can't wait

You're kinda dodging the obvious breh. PSVR will be first to market on the consoles, but X1 might have the Rift and all that MS and FB money. Stop trying to make things so complicated. I simply stated M$ and OR work together. That could be beneficial for the Xbox brand. Point, blank, period.

Will these "backings" you're alluding to somehow circumvent the need for a Scorpio and VR headset as opposed to PSVR which works on PS4's that people already have?
People keep going "Microsoft microsoft" yet don't realize their VR ready console will be expensive and require a headset on top of that.

That's the biggest advantage I see. All you need is PSVR if you already have a PS4 and no, PS4Neo is not needed for VR.

If you have an Xbox 1, well you need to get a Scorpio for VR.
If you have a PC, your option is slightly pricier and you may need a better GPU/CPU to get it working.

I'm about to go try PSVR later today at Bestbuy. If I like it, I only gotta come out and buy that. If I tried the Rift and liked it, I'd have to spend way more money to get it(upwards of up to $800-900(Rift and GPU upgrade.) PSVR fits into my budget nicely and who knows, there may be some rigging that allows it to be used on PC so it's a win/win for me at least.

Unless the PS4 suddenly bombs and stops selling today, I don't see how it won't surpass last gen numbers easily.
By April next year the PS4 is going to be probably be at 60 million sold. If the PS4 sells 80 million by APR 2018, that'd make it only 5 years to hit that number vs PS3 taking nearly 7 to reach 80 million. I can't wait to hear the "this gen won't sell past last gen" people's excuses when PS4 hits 60 million. The PS4 will surpass PS3 numbers. Hell, I'll be bold and say the PS4 will most likely hit 100 million sales during a 10 year span.

LMAO all that MS money didn't mean shyt this gen and last gen, Sony Brand will drive them forward in the console space. Microsoft has a tendency to announce shyt, wait for the noise put their finger in the wind and say oh shyt what we really mean is? What I'm saying they are known to abandon shyt with a quickness. They talk a good game, but in order for Oculus to be used on their platform I am willing to bet you they would have to pay a licensing fee, which they don't have to do on the PC.

Ok First off, you talking all this stuff without knowing a single fact (as usual) Microsoft has said all along that (listen up now)

EVERYTHING WILL BE COMPATIBLE ACROSS ALL THE XBOX PLATFORMS, EVERYTHING

Now the reason M$ doesn't speak much on XB1VR is because just like what people been trying to tell you in this very thread, the VR games on PSVR will look like shyt at the end of the day. Things sell faster now a days than back then, they also die out quicker too.. Theyve only sold 4 million units in the past 6 months They were at 36 million units sold in January, they are at 40 million in almost July Thats not a good pace at all, thats less than 1 million sold a month Everyone who wants a PS4, already has it.

You never answered my question, whats stopping the other 45 million people who owned a PS3 from buying a PS4 ? They had multiple $299 bundles during Holidays so cant be an issue with the pricing.. Practically giving away bundles during holidays.

Right now they are selling 650k units a month this year, which its only going to get worse as time goes on. I can do math, thats 31 million units over the next 4 years. Thats 71 million units, in 7 years, almost 15 million less than PS3 in same time frame.

Thats if they continue their pace..

but some how PS4 gonna not only outsell PS3, but do 15 million MORE than Ps3

all tech experts say its gonna top out at 69 million sales (2 million lower then what im giving them) by year 7 (probably way more complicated math than what im doing here); but some how its gonna reach 100 million sales ? what kinda calculator yall using to come up with these figures


One of the first thing we learned in sales is that sales (and life in general) is a marathon not a sprint.. Good words to live by, but applies to sales especially because a lot of sales people would be #1 sales person at their job (a good shift in the first week can help that) in first 3-4 days and get big headed, but by end of the month they wouldnt even be top 25 This seems to apply to PS4..
