That all good but this is rap and not street wars. Ross still had deeper than rap going heavy then followed up with teflon don. What 50 was doing didn’t stop them hits Ross made.

I will say, had it happened in this era then Ross would not have survived the embarrassment.
Disagree...strongly. This era shows that once you're established enough the crowd will rock with you if they like your character/music enough.

It's Wild how different people see this beef.

From my perspective. 50 was seen as a Goliath bully, but declining musically. Ross was nice with a few great songs. He was handling the CO exposal as well as you could I guess.

Most people predicted 50 would make easy work out of Ross. We were all wrong.

This battle was Tyson vs Holyfield - The fact that Ross was standing toe to toe was shocking.

50 wasn't in his prime anymore, Ross was entering his prime.

Neither had a knockout full diss song. Both had some good diss lines, but no Ether or full diss song. Ross dropped a few good diss jab bars on Great songs, which made them more memorable. I think the fact that Ross was standing toe to toe with 50 and making better music, most people gave him the W.

Then there's all the non-musical threatrics. Getting BMs and kids involves seemed like a desperate antic to me. It's like I can't kill him on music, let me do something. It's really ho shyt, but i'm an OG 80s baby. We fight. But some fans were cool with it.

Definitely you got to give Ross the W musically.

Only on the coli would a nikka having 8 successful shows and spin offs be seen as an L

It's wild cause I started thinking maybe Im losing my mind... 50 has the Power Universe BMF, huge deal with major studio, in the untouchable franchise etc.

I dont either of them loss, but 50 doesnt need any new songs... He has crossed over to a different type of entertainment.

Ross said to keep it music. Then ducked Banks. Banks has sold about as much as Ross and is a respected MC. So where did all that keep it music energy go after Banks dropped officer down? Disappeared for some reason?

no one won.

ross is a cartoon character. i don't mean that as an insult either: the man's ability to bounce back from what should be fatal career wounds is wile e. coyote-esque. and he did have his moments against 50. that said... how you gonna claim a W when your people are getting thrown through barricades + getting jewelry relieved (among other things)?

50 didn't win, because he finally ran into someone he can't bully into submission. even if/when he was actually winning, ross just coming back for more like nothing happened. i dont know if you can beat someone like ross, because he'll literally just turn around and say "i won" anyway. what's the point? :russ:

the only way to "win" is for them to leave each other alone imo. but they're both too stubborn + petty for that.

This is the correct answer.
