I was in high school from 05 to 08, back when Dipset was on fire. There is no doubt about it...Jim(and Dipset) left a HUGE impact on hip hop from a Fashion(and music) standpoint. True religions, Antik jeans, ACG boots, Ed hardy, S7 jeans, Red monkey, etc. Jim started that shyt. I aint gon lie, I wore Trus back in HS, but its played out to me now. That rockstar look had the game on lock. Lol I even remember that nikka LL Cool J rocking da rockstar look in Fat Joe's "I Won't Tell" video, blowin kisses to the camera and shyt. It was TOO funny. And no disrespect to Stack, but he didn't start that look.
Overall though, Jim aint invent the look, but he kinda made it popular in hip hop culture. Even to this day, if you come to NYC, nikkas still wear fitted(not skinny) jeans. The fitted look is here to stay...nikkas aint tryna go back to the baggy look...
