Ya'll must have missed the year 2007. Everybody was on that "rock star" sh!t with Ed Hardy and Affliction t shirts with angels and skulls and dragons with a chain wallet. The skinny jeans and streat wear/hype beast style in hip hop came shortly after that but the "rockstar" phase was the first to kill tall tees in the hood...

nah not everybody... skipped right over that wackness lol

no ed hardy none of that rock star shyt :umad:

ed hardy to me was corny and I could see it playing out as soon as it got stupid hot... shyt was literally the von dutch trucker hat again, everyone jumped on then right off.

we fukked with street wear never that rock star look

Kanye gets this one if you ask me. And not just the clothes, he made homo's acceptable, admittin on a song that you aint tough acceptable, pretty much ended gangsta rap and gave birth to drake.

its all good though. And yeah the dominicans in NY are the kings of that style.

wow they starred out h0m0s? whats the proper word?

that rockstar style actually had baggy jeans, with a big bootcut to go over their timbs/acg's or whatever....thats when true religion blew up..but those jeans are more baggy than fitted...those skull and affliction t shirts were a different story though

you still see some nikkas still tryin to pull out them rhinestone rockstar belts with their trues and foamposites...it looks disgusting

Jay-z? Back when change clothes/black album came out everyone put the jerseys and girbauds in the closet for button ups and fitted. Then ye came with the polos, backpacks, bathing apes. Then the rockstar, chain wallet, rhinestones on everything phase came. Now we are in the current hipster phase. I dont know whats the newest thing or hottest brand is today tbh because im basically a karmaloop guy now

Not gonna lie. I was like a week away from copping one of those ed hardy joints. Thank god I reconsidered right when the shyt was falling off. I mustve been in a bad place mentally... :to:

Plus I literally didn't know how to dress after college. I wore black and white tees or a polo 95% of the time... The good ol days :manny:
