I'm gonna catch a lot of hate for this thread but f**k it, I dont think dude has ever rhymed about anything of substance. I had da art of storytellin on repeat today and noticed big boi's verse actually took away from the song. While andre's verse was deep & introspective, all big boi did was tell a story about how he got head from some groupie. They've never been on the same level lyrically or conceptually. I'm not even a big fan of outkast (mostly just an Andre fan), but Andre should've gone solo while he was in his prime. Nowadays a solo LP by him wouldn't be as great as it would have been if he made it in 94-98

only thing that ever held Dre back was Dre...PERIOD...and u can see the difference in work ethic right about now...he has noone holdin him back from droppin an album...Big Boi already workin on his 3rd solo hip hop work...Andre has ZERO solo hip hop work..

The love below is fukking classic, and outside of hiphop one of the best reviewed albums of the 2000s together with Stankonia.3 Stacks held 3 Stacks back with that weird sh1t. He didn't hold him back, they delivered 4 classic hiphop albums and 1 classic creative whatever album.
Andre had passion for other things like fashion and acting, Big Boi seems to only love hiphop and balling in the club. Cats are acting like either of them owe us anything after 13 years of hard ass work.

see this the shyt I dont respect...da fukk u mean?...Big Boi did ALL those same things Andre did...fashion..AND actin..STILL held outkast down for damn near a decade by himself...and Speakerboxx>>>>Love Below...I dont give a shyt who rated it...and aint no way is a nikka in the top 10 without ANY solo hip hop work...the nikka could very well suck as a solo artist and we would never know..he could be great as well..but like I said we would never know..he never dropped nothin..there's TOO many artists with great SOLO careers and classic and/or groundbreakin SOLO albums to make Dre crack a top 10 all time list without any solo work...maybe a personal favorites list..but that's where it stops...

this is tru spit..shyt is becoming some type of trend to ignore big boi and it's fukkin disgustin...cause nikkas forget that everybody used to reach out to Big Boi for features over Andre for a while now..and im not even sayin Andre is not nicer...im sayin these nikkas is trippin for actin like Dre held the group together or Big Boi was holdin Dre back or some shyt...it's some ol rewriting of history shyt...cause Big Boi been the one holdin that group down...and keepin they name alive..for years while Andre been chillin..and makin empty promises on a solo album..
