And I'm not saying Kobe deserved MVP...I'm only saying that rationale is stupid.

Nash led a suns team that won 29 games in 04 to 62 wins in 05

Nash led a team that lost amare stoudemire for the season to 54 wins the next year

Both suns teams were a 1 and 2 seed, kobe had a great individual season but the lakers were 42-20 and 45-37 not impressive compared to what nash did

Shaq has a MUCH bigger gripe over Nash taking an MVP from him than Kobe does. Hell, LeBron should have been the winner of that second Nash MVP anyway.

It does, and it will.

Averaging 35 a game, with Smush Parker, Walton, Kwame, Chris Mihm all in the starting a lineup, and taking them to the playoffs. Was worthy of an MVP to me.

But we know how the media hated Kobe back then.

The mvp is a individual award based off your Teams success

Thats why an mvp was never handed to a guy who's team won less than 50 games or lower than a 4 seed which is why nash deserved both of them over kobe

Your train of logic is terrible.

Kobe Bryant met all the official criteria needed to be considered the MVP, which is all that matters.

When did simply not granting special treatment/changing the traditional rules they always use become hate?

He met none of the most important criteria, which is why he was not a serious candidate that year. Repeating lies don't make them facts, Andre :umad:
I like how you slickly called him a nikka.

I did no such thing.

Yet so often, people on here say that Nash has stolen TWO MVPs from Kobe. They still refuse to acknowledge the fact that the year Nash won his first MVP, Kobe missed 20% of the season, missed the playoffs, and missed a ton of shots.

not to mention how great nash was playing at the time. Did LA even win 50 games ?

Nope. They were close but didn't get to 50. In all honesty, I've always thought the 50+ wins "rule" was pretty arbitrary but I do prefer that the MVP comes from a legitimate team. People do like to ignore what Nash was doing at the time. I think Nash wins even if the Lakers do get 50 wins. Nash had made the Suns into contenders the year before and won the MVP while doing so, then had an even better year the next season.

To put it in perspective, Kobe fans were on here saying that the idea of "making teammates better" was a myth and it wasn't real or tangible. That right there says it all.

How is that rationale stupid to use when its supported throughout league history?

Kobe or lakers fans weren't the only folks that didn't buy into the overhyping of Nash, but we definitely were amongst their ranks...and nothing about Nash leaving phoenix in the twilight of his career having not ever won even a goddamned conference championship to ring chase with the lakers disproves what was our primary assertion all along: that steve nash was never a legitimate mvp caliber player, that no team with.him as their best player would ever win a chip, and when judged by the same high standards of actual mvp level players he was a complete failure...because quite frankly he was never on that level of players

Nash skating to LA just confirms what we've said all along...lakers fans happy to have an actual good.point guard doesn't conflict with that
