The only first ballot guy on this list is Vinatieri. Manning, Keuchly, Suggs, Staley and Lynch are in the next tier, should get in eventually. Earl Thomas, Aqib Talib and Darren Sproles are super marginal, probably really shouldn't be in but can maybe squeak in on a weak year. Wake, Davis and Demaryius should never be in.

Talib will probably never get in based off of him being around when his brother murdered that guy. Plus, he probably wouldn't have gotten in anwyay.

But yeah, the first timers for the class of 2025 look kind of weak. Next year might be a year where they try to clear some backlogs.

It is odd to me that Hester is going in. Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but to celebrate somebody for something that the NFL is essentially trying to remove from the game seems a little weird to me.

They're only removing it because of safety reasons. It's not like they're removing it because the actual return part of it is bad or not the result of talent or skill.

My projected 1st-Ballot HOFers for the next 3 years:

2025: Kuechly, Vinatieri, Yanda, and Staley

Eli damn sure is NOT 1st-Ballot. :mjlol:

The voters are gonna make Marshawn wait, IF they even induct him at all. :mjpls:

Earl should be 1st-Ballot, but the personal fukkery he has been involved in will more than likely fukk up his chances. :snoop:

2026: Brees, Fitzgerald, and Witten

2027: Peterson, Gronk, Sherm, and Mack

AB would be a lock if he did not lose his damn mind. :snoop:

And I do not think Ben will be 1st-Ballot.

Why is Joe Staley considered some 1st ballot lock?? What separates him from a Steve Wisniewski or a Richmond Webb? Or even a Kent Hull or Matt Lyght or Lincoln Kennedy level tackle? Am I missing something?

Yeah I'm a Niners homer and love Staley but ain't no way he's a first ballot guy :heh:

Just a guess, pleihbois :birdman: (especially knowing how the voters tend to get down :mjpls:)

Who do y'all have as locks for the next 3 years?

Randy Grandisher waiting so long was a joke. At his peak he was one of the best all around LB’s in history. Could rush the passer, play the run, ahead of his time in pass defense etc.

The orange crush never won a title so nobody really cares which hurts him

He was before my time but I read about his career and wondered what took so long.

Same with Jerry Kramer.

I think Staley is borderline 1st ballot. If he doesn't get in I understand but also too he was a top 5 tackle for most of his career despite the 49ers being terrible half his career and even in his later years he was still top 10. Like long story short if he doesn't go 1st ballot he gets the next one. Think about it when he retired we had to replace him with another HOF level player just to be accectable.

I respect that, but quiet as kept, tackle is a loaded positon. Lots of standouts havent been inducted and some may never be. Look ar Bruce Armstrong, Richmond.Webb, Joe Jacoby(cant recall if he got inducted), Kent Hull, Steve Wisniewski, Matt Light. Is Leon Gray even in? Todd Steussie was good, so was Lincoln Kennedy. Tarik Glenn was very good etc...
