the mental gymnastics they are putting themselves through to justify why a bunch of critics didn't enjoy is just... i don't even know what to say. we should be ashamed for even entertaining the debate, it's that ludicrous.
also fans of this movie need to understand two things:
1. that there are people who really found to the film to be that awful.
2. that when you make your movie for "adults", they are going to react in kind. the "oh well just sit back and have fun" argument doesn't fly because a) it was meant to be taken seriously... and b) there really is no fun to be had.
I enjoyed BvS and don't give a fukk what a critic has to say. Never have and never will.

WB owns RT/Flixster..why would they accept reviews from people trashing their movie?
why own a movie review site if not to give honest reviews??? if you just gonna use it to hype ur movies- may as well save that $$$ and throw into the promotional budget
No... she not disgruntled at Marvel at all..... she's still a huge comic book nerd regardless of what properties it belongs to. She recently gave a good and thorough review or the 1st renewed issue of Black Panther. But she's also a Hollywood insider and even SHE can see the bullshyt going on with the critics. The only thing I disagree with her is Campea because Campea been defending BvS and his gripe is the opposite of hers... but I think he sneak dissed him which is why she attacking back and calling him out.
She going at Campea because she felt like he was sneak dissing her for going at other critics. I don't think so, but then again if they had prior beef before maybe.
It is just crazy that this is happening though at both sides to how we CANNOT TAKE these critics seriously at all because of whatever bias they have.

Dawg I watch her videos. She also makes random videos about how Marvel can improve and what they are doing wrong after she lost a show on thier channel. If she did that to DC you would be pissed. The suggestion others don't have integrity while she does is corny. she's just like the rest of them with her life experience biases, preferences, etc.

Deep down, as much as I have watched Marvel and DC movies unbiased, Marvel deep down is scared of competition being developed and forced to step their game wayyyyy up. BvS is the second film of the DCEU, and they (the bribed critics) are doing anything they can to prevent a legit Superhero universe from challenging Marvel in quality. The Marvel films, for so long, had no competition and their quality goes from

, and it's not consistent. The reason why I used to support them blindly is because, for so long, comic book films were considered a joke back in the 90s. Now, in the eve of Captain America: CW, the third and final Cap film of the series, Marvel knows that they have to deliver on that level or higher from now on. They know with Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, The Batman, and so on in the horizon, a half assed effort can't be protected, not even from the fanboys and critics. Look what happened to Marvel when DC came in the animated DVD game and quality came in....
Marvel is scared of that situation happening to their bread and butter called the MCU that brings in hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Only time will tell that DC will come in and start to deliver quality like their animated DVDs.

They didn't necessarily need to hype the movie but some of the BvS reviews were scathing and over the top. You'd think they at least balance it out with some good reviews.

But that's not the job of a reviewer or a film critic community. It's not a political system or a news organization that's job is to be fair and balanced. There were plenty of good reviews of the movie but the overwhelming majority were negative. They don't all come together and say "okay, let's put some good ones out there to be fair and balanced" Does that mean that there aren't cats who are moved in one direction due to supposed peer pressure? Of course not and I'm sure that's happened every now and then and I've heard evidence of it happening. But your job as a critic is to be explain why something worked for you or didn't, not to make sure that there's enough positive to go around with your negative

yeah, for some reason gut feeling i guess- i have NEVER gone by, trusted RT-- for every review they have- I can name 100 movies that are general consensus "good movies" and the ratings will be all over the map
End of the day- nothing influences me to see anything more than word fo mouth- when my close friends or even random ppl in a bar are talking about it- not what some cac neckbeard writes on his blog
