I picked up a copy of one of Mr. Mosely's newer books, Debbie Doesn't Do It Anymore, & it looks like a good read so far. Have you seen his work on Snowfall? He wrote a lot of season 2, which is probably why the storytelling was so tight.
Yeah. I binged it during the beginning of the pandemic. There was one episode I think I'm season one or 2 where I saw his name come up in the credits and I had to research what his role was. The episode did feel tighter in terms of storytelling than the others. That's when I found out Singleton had him come on as a consultant and a writer.

I've been reading his Leonid Mcgill series, but I kinda feel off and still gotta finish the last book. I've read damn near everything he's written up until the last 7-10 years or so.

More Mosley books need to be made into movies. I know Denzel hasn't done sequels until the Equalizer, but him doing a series of Easy Rawlins movies based on the books would have been a good look. And it's a much stronger character than who he played in the Equalizer, or for another comparison in a somewhat similar genre, the Alex Cross movies.

They were supposed to make actually make an Easy Rawlins franchise but Devil underperformed at the box office

Great movie when it was released and i can still watch it today whenever it comes on and i'm not doing anything else. Wish it could have been a sequel or at least another movie featuring the character of Easy Rawlins. Denzel and Cheadle had great chemistry together too which made the movie that much better.

I didn't see a Devil in a Blue Dress so even though it came out a few years later the first time I remember seeing he was in Eve's Bayou

This. The entire Easy Rawlins series should be brought to the big screen. Since Denzel is (maybe) too old to play Easy now, I think Nate Parker, Johnathan Winters, or John David Washington would do pretty well. Don Cheadle still looks young enough play Mouse.
Maybe Michael B Jordan

I read the book before watching the film. The film was alright but Mouse was miscast. He was meant to look like a short Smokey Robinson... Don Cheadle looks nothing like him. He still killed the role though.
