I still remember when he asked dude why black people don't hate Michael Jackson. Guy was nowhere near polished enough to be on there. I was like :wtf:

Also, I like Krugman but he's not always right. This is the same Krugman who wanted Obama to nationalize companies and thought most of those bail out strategies would not work.

Also, TUH is assuming the public would even be reasonable and think it was all the Republican's fault. Do you know the American public? :usure:
He was right about that. Nationalization...or more accurately temporary receivership and re-privatization like they did in Sweden in the 90's and Iceland in the wake of the great recession would've been a much better alternative than the bailout. If by "worked" you mean it allowed zombie banks to stay solvent by giving billions to corrupt incompetent bank execs, many of whom who deserve to be in jail and making the taxpayer foot the bill for future generations and get interest free loans from the Fed then pocket what they charge to consumers, then yeah, I guess it did.

I was talking about the auto-industry. Not the banks. I thought he was against the auto bailouts too. Quite frankly, I just think we should broken up the banks into smaller parts so that "too big to fail" doesn't even exist. I don't know if that's part of the temporary receivership plan.

He may have differed on the particulars, but I'm pretty sure Krugman wasn't against the auto bailout as a strategy.

Are you serious? And let me guess he answered....... :mjpls:

I have no idea if this guy gets annoyed by answering the questions or he just ignores Cenk and doesn't want to cause issues and just wants to be paid.

I'd have to go search through his old NY Times opinions. I just remember being in college and him saying that they didn't deserve a bail out at a G-20 conference or something. I could be wrong on him in this regard.

Nah, he just stuttered some shyt about it's because even though he changed his appearance he never spoke out against black people. He never "didn't identify." And I'm giving him entirely too much credit as far as how articulate he was.

Don't like Cenk much on twitter either. I find him suddenly prone to bursts of emotional, sentimental shyt sometimes. I understand thats a part of being human (and twitter), but I wish he wouldn't lose his shyt sometimes when news breaks. The show is good though.

Not that we shouldn't be concerned about these things, but I can't help but :russ: when people act like the government monitoring calls overseas without a warrant and the Patriot Act are some kind of new, radical fascist infringement on civil liberties in the U.S.

I don't understand the point of this post Vic. What is the logical conclusion you are trying to reach?

"Not that we shouldn't be concerned about these things..." and then castigating us for being concerned?

I think he's highlighting that the :damn: :damn: :damn: response to the government doing blatantly grimey shyt with civil liberties is ironic because they've always taken liberties with our liberties.
