I'll say this, a year or two ago, Thibs leaving would have caused me to lose my shyt

Right now, I would be open minded and accepting to see what a new coach could bring

I think Thibs is a damn fine coach, but I dont have the same attachment I once did

The shytty thing about losing Thibs would be, I can't imagine the alternative being as respected in the league. I don't believe the refs ignore Thibs...But Hoiberg is gonna get the :camby: treatment

300 murders a year
Yea that's my issue with the fire thibs thing

I would love it if it was a hell of a coach right there to grab

But just as much as I can see a coach coming in and taking us to a next level, I can see a coach coming in and making a difficult situation worst

The front office and head coach has to be on the same page. And if the coach makes it perfectly clear he don't want young players, then you either give him the kind of players he wants or get rid of him and get your youth movement on. The last thing you do is try and force that coach to deal with the roster you have whether they like it or not.

It's seems that is what this season has been all about, a clash between philosophy and make up of a team.

Sad because the east will be better next season, and with team "don't do shyt" great chance we take a step back. Cleveland will be a power house next year. If we never win it all, I will always look at this season and 2011 as the years we flat out blew it.

Who cares? The Bulls have been regular season kings before with Thibs. I don't care what the Bulls record would be in the reg season, I care about how they perform in the postseason.
They are part of each other. I don't know where this mentality came from, but it's stupid and counterproductive to actually wanting results in the postseason.
The real test is in the postseason and going into this postseason everybody's back and his offense is still inept and they are still looking lost when it comes to executing consistently.
That's more do with the players and not the coach. His offense isn't inept, it's the players. The scoring on this team is handled by two perimeter players and a 34-year-old big man who's on his last legs (who didn't play for the last two games - games that were lost). They're getting virtually nothing from Noah/Gibson and the bench isn't doing shyt. Without Gasol it limits their options offensively because there's nobody that can get consistent points in the frontcourt.

CLE would be dead without those trades, I know that, but CLE should still get washed by this team because they were undermanned going into this series and the Bulls were 100% until Pau's injury. There's no excuse to be getting locked up and going on 8 minute and 5 minute stretches without being able to score on this team.
Newsflash - EVERY fukkin team had been going through LONG offense droughts in the playoffs. EVERY single team. Even teams that have a lot more offensive firepower than yall - they're going through the same thing. This is the problem with you, you think these problems are only central to the Bulls - they're not.

They were up 2-1 with Gasol, and when he was out came within ONE possession of winning each of those games. We wouldn't even be having this conversation if luck/momentum was in the Bulls' favor on each of those possessions.

Everybody already knows he gets wins in the regular season, what's happening in this year's postseason though? He's getting exposed. J. Kidd was giving him that work, and he's being outcoached this series by a player on the opposing team.
What's getting exposed is the lack of talent and the fact that both Noah and Gibson have regressed this season.

Kidd was not giving him that work, at all. Stop it.

Snell is a D-Leaguer and shouldn't play
He shouldn't be on a title contender, in his current state. Especially not being counted on like he's some game-changing difference. If he eventually develops into a player that deserves to be in the rotation, cool, but as it stands right now he doesn't. The very fact you're campaigning for a player that's lucky to be on this team in the first place, should tell you that the personnel is REAL issue.

What will it achieve playing him? Even if he does contribute for one game (he's just as well to be a negative to the team in the next game), in the long run of the postseason, it's always going to rear its ugly head that the talent is the problem - not the decision that Thibs isn't playing Snell.

I don't get why this is so hard to understand.

:mindblown:
Kirk has been worse all season, but he should play because Thibs and @Gil Scott-Heroin say so

Why is Kirk playing over Snell or Moore besides being "Thibs Guy"?
So we lying now?
And Hinrich shouldn't even be on this team. Which is mostly the FO's fault because they won't give Thibs players with talent so then he's forced to get back players that he believes are tried-and-true and that know his system - without picking up some scrub that he'll have to initiate into the team and wait for them to become acclimated in a season-long process that might not even work, sacrificing what he believes is wasted opportunity in building chemistry in a team that's trying to compete for a championship.

Simple fact is Thibs style does not produce championships
You could say that for every single coach that's never won a championship, before they win one.

And to be perfectly honest, you could argue his 'style' had just as much influence on the Celtics winning that '08 ship as Doc's did.

So we lying now?
The entire Snell discussion started because I said he should have been in for defensive purposes instead of Niko. Now you're going to act like I'm 'campaigning' for Snell like he's the savior for this teams woes. Stop it. For months Bulls fans who've watched this team have been calling for more Snell/Moore and less Kirk. For MONTHS. So you keep skipping directly to "personnel" being the problem and ignoring the fact that Thibs is playing a guy ahead of 2 guys who arguably would help the team more. You're skipping the fact that developing players also ties into team personnel. Should we go back and look in this thread at how many of us questioned why Thibs continuously gave Kirk minutes all season long?

You already admitted that you agree, Snell would be a better option to defend CLE when they go small. You're shytting on Snell, but nothing was said about Hinrich until I brought the hypocrisy to your attention. I'm not lying about anything. I'm harping on Thibs not making common sense adjustments according to what the other team is doing. Leaving Niko in the game to defend Shumpert was stupid, not utilizing Snell for his defense when Jimmy had 2 fouls in the 1st half was stupid, playing Noah and Kirk for too long together is stupid.

Snell lucky to be on the team? lol
If the Bulls FO went out and signed a proven wing player, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. That means he's lucky to be on the team. :heh:

Just give it up man, this conversation has gotten nowhere since it started

Thibs is gone, it's just the reality we need to accept and deal with
I'm glad he's going, hopefully he ends up in the NO or on a franchise that actually gives him proper talent.
