He's in an offensive system that features him as opposed to just being a 3 pt shooter

Bud is a coach that wants balance and is an expert on offensive basketball from being up under Pop, Korver (at least until the playoffs) is in a system that gets him good looks and an opportunity to be a focal point on the team not just a add on like he was in Chicago
He takes eight shots a game - SIX of those are 3-pointers. I don't wanna hear this shyt about him being 'featured as opposed to just being a 3-pt shooter'. That's all he is. A 3-pt shooter. It's got more to do with the fact he's gained confidence and experience from being a starter for three years straight while improving his 3-pt shot. He's still doing the same shyt in ATL that he was doing in Chicago - running around off-ball screens trying to get open.

Clearly.

You mention that games can't be sacrificed for player development during the regular season. I'm pointing out that even with Tom going hard during the regular season and not playing the younger player they were still inconsistent as hell, and losing to bum teams all year.
That's mostly down to the fact Rose was either out or finding his feet for 70-80% of the season - yet they still finished with the third best record - only three wins behind Cleveland. And this is after Cleveland made mid-season trades (that completely changed the dynamic of their team) after they were struggling to stay afloat in the playoff picture.

Can you imagine how GREAT the Bulls would've looked if they even made half the changes?

Ask yourself this - what would Cleveland's record be if they didn't make those trades, Bron only played 51 games (after being out for the last two seasons) and for most of those games he was still struggling to find his feet? Would Cleveland have even close to the record they had this season?

Ask yourself what every playoff team's record would be is they had their #1 player only for 51 games, and during those games they had to wait for him to adapt and regain his form after being out for the last 2-3 seasons?

Ask yourself what the Bulls record would be if Rose played 70+ games and was healthy and looked like the Rose of old?

Because as far as I can see it, if Rose was 100% from the start of the season this team would have registered 60 wins.

In fact, ask yourself this - if Thibs managed to have the second best-win% in the league, all without Rose for over half the games he's been coaching in Chicago - what would his win% be if Rose NEVER had any serious injuries at all?

To spell it out for you, maybe his philosophy is at fault. Maybe instead of playing Pau for entire quarters no matter how he's playing, or playing Jimmy for 45 minutes vs the Magic etc he should have played the young guys. He played Kirk even though Kirk was killing them all year.

If his philosophy is at fault, then you might as well let the Bulls coach themselves. Because this 'standard' of coach you keep alluding to doesn't exist.

Thibs looking like a clone of mike brown

Who gives a fukk about regular season records

His players are always banged up in the playoffs and that's all that matters

Exactly. fukk the regular season. Thibs has been outcoached multiple times in the playoffs against lesser competition. He can go.

:mjlol:

Who cares? The Bulls have been regular season kings before with Thibs. I don't care what the Bulls record would be in the reg season, I care about how they perform in the postseason. I care about Rose getting to the postseason healthy. The real test is in the postseason and going into this postseason everybody's back and his offense is still inept and they are still looking lost when it comes to executing consistently.

CLE would be dead without those trades, I know that, but CLE should still get washed by this team because they were undermanned going into this series and the Bulls were 100% until Pau's injury. There's no excuse to be getting locked up and going on 8 minute and 5 minute stretches without being able to score on this team.

Everybody already knows he gets wins in the regular season, what's happening in this year's postseason though? He's getting exposed. J. Kidd was giving him that work, and he's being outcoached this series by a player on the opposing team.

brehs, chill on the Thibs hate

he has his issues, but ya'll making him out to be Vinny Del Negro or some shyt
Snell is a D-Leaguer and shouldn't play
Kirk has been worse all season, but he should play because Thibs and @Gil Scott-Heroin say so

Why is Kirk playing over Snell or Moore besides being "Thibs Guy"?
