Bulls just don't match up well against teams that go small. Gasol can't play that type of game, and neither can Mirotic for the most part. It's also a lot harder to hide Dunleavy defensively.

Noah and Taj can, but if either our out or gimpy, forget about it.

That's why Toronto and Washington. scare more than Cleveland right now.

I disagree.

The Bulls can go small. They just rather not

Boston got an unprotected 1st for Doc (which is still going to be a mid-late round pick) So Thibs would probably go for something less than that. Maybe a lotto protected 1st.

In terms of an active player, I have no clue. Whatever the return is. It's not worth giving him up IMO

we got the knicks and melo is trying to act like he's going to move on since he didn't want to play here. I hope that extra 30 milly makes up for being one of the worse teams in the league :mjlol: We could've had something special here.

I once heavily disregarded this notion but what's happening with golden state and Memphis got me asking what if.

Like what if we just kept someone on the sideline who understood thibs defense being under him then brought in a more polished offensive coach?

I still think thibs a good coach but he def gets in his own way sometime. It all comes down to how the players are still riding for him. That's hard to say.

Just out of curiosity, what does your Bulls small line up look like?

We don't even have the personnel for it
That ATL game was tough because Noah was out.

But if you want to go small, they could do a number of things.

Rose
Butler
Dunleavy
Niko
Noah

Brooks
Rose
Butler
Niko
Taj

Rose
Hinrich
Butler
Niko
Taj

They can run a number of lineups if they want to go small. If you're worried about Niko's defense, you can slide Taj there, and he can guard stretch 4s. Noah and Taj can definitely guard bigs on the perimeter, so I'm not seeing how they can't play small. Thibs just wants to run Pau into the ground and play him all the time

None of those line ups are "small"

Mirotic is a 4. Playing him at PF isn't going small.

He's a stretch 4 that's comfortable playing out on the perimeter... You're confusing me breh. Taj, Niko and Noah all are versatile enough to play stretch bigs in the league. The only big that isn't suited for chasing dudes around like Milsap is Pau.
