I have question on game content being sunset.

What exactly will not be sunset from this expansion (Witch Queen)?

Will all the seasonal content be sunset, like the Psiops, Containment, Ketch Expeditions?
I'm honestly not sure. In the august show, they said there will be no more sunsetting but its not clear if that's *just* the items, or the items and expansions, or the items and expansions and the seasonal activities.

I think the plan to semi-sunset the seasonal activities once a new annual expansion comes out will still happen. They'll probably just move whatever activities still fit within the storyline into the Vanguard Ops playlist like they did with Battlegrounds.

Yeah, but even with battlegrounds they didn't bring over everything from that year. Stuff like Hunts, Splicer stuff, etc got left out (understandably - I get how that has to happen). I do think that the Awoken/Wayfarer stuff was way too good to just drop off though. I hope they find a way to keep some of those events and locations around.

True. Season of the Splicer was fun as shyt.

I'm sure part of it is that they didn't want to overwhelm people.

It seems like they might have a plan for streamlining onboarding for new and returning players, so I'm hoping that they'll figure out how to keep this stuff around, even as a rotating category similar to the raid rotation, and not overdo it.

Matchmaking is atrocious breh. I'm a new player and just learning movement and the maps. Whenever I do well in matches, matchmaking decides to put me in lobbies of sweats were everyone is running around with OP shotguns with insane distance or two tapping me with hand cannons from long range. I don't have the same weapons and my armor still sucks. Why am i in these sweat lobbies for like 10 straight matches after doing well in a few matches? smh

Hows the current season brehs? :jbhmm: I always like to start late so I can run through the weekly story missions back to back like a campaign. I did play the opener mission and a round Ketchcrash although I had no idea what the fukk was going on :skip:

My first impressions on Arc 3.0 is that it still aint fukking with my Void shield titan build:wow:

Matchmaking needs a drastic overhaul in nearly every way. I legit feel bad for newer players, because they run into a lot of shyt like you described.

Destiny is unique amongst PvP shooters in that there's both a skill and gear threshold. At least in other games like Call of Duty where loadout elements need to be unlocked, the path to that stuff is far more direct.

It's hard to learn the game and good reads and tendencies when you almost immediately get negative reinforcement that might not even be based on your play. New brehs might legit be going heads up with folks rolling triple 100 gear just because they had a couple of hot games. :mjlol:

I think Plunder is good fun tbh. Its just little stuff that's irritating to a lot of people and creating that burnout effect. Right now, its harder than ever to grind out the exotic armor you're looking for and red borders are even harder to come by. Now that buildcrafting/light3.0 is fully accessible, it kinda forces people to embrace that aspect of the game and there are some growing pains imo

PVP is....well, I like the balancing. The sandbox is in a good overall spot. There are outliers like Storm Grenades ofc, but its probably better than most 'good' seasons when you look at it from an overall sandbox balance POV. The issue is the map weighting, SBMM being wonky, quitter penalties in control of all places, etc. Some people think pulse rifles need to be reeled in some.... I don't know about that quite yet. Now that SBMM is more stringent, its creating a weird new meta where most above-average players will play keep away because its just the smart thing to do against near skill opponents.

The new maps? Cathedral of Dusk is the same its always been imo. Dysjunction though? Its awful. Its not bad because its big, its bad because the spawns and objectives are placed poorly, its got more obstructions than it needs in every direction WHILE being a huge map, and it has no flow at all. Feels like its two maps jammed together and given a WQ aesthetic if anything.

Aside from those friction points, Season of the Plunder is great. Halloween event coming up soon :manny:

Whenever I get into these lobbies, I'm just running around trying to survive because there's gonna be a hunter with a shotgun who's gonna slide and one shot me around a corner, or an unkillable Titan who's gonna eat my shots like scooby snacks, run straight towards me and kill me with a single melee :dead:

Bolded is the absolute truth. Between choosing the best class fragments/aspect slots, and modding armor and weapons, from a beginner standpoint I'm looking at these like
