Came back to do the Whisper of the Worm and once the excitement for that went away I remembered why I left again. Game is definitely in a better place than it started though but I think they may have a gjallahorn situation on their hands with this gun because it outclasses everything in terms of boss dps and is only gonna get stronger when the catalyst finishes.

It's dumb. They spent years working against the idea of "must have" weapons - and what do they do? Reintroduce one of the most dominant weapons in PVE. And not even tweak it or the way it's acquired.

I solo'd the original quest. Why make me work for the same shyt again?

This is what happens when your entire design process is centered around placating streamers and reddit. No one actually gives a shyt about prestige raids but that's the always on the agenda instead of little things that effect all players.

I guess they're trying to bring people back by bringing back that gun? But they definitely didnt think over the consequences of bringing back that version. Now they're back at square 1 with how to balance activities towards a must have gun. There's no possible way they can stick to this we're not nerfing anymore mantra that they've tricked the community into believing that they're on with this thing out.

But you're right. Listening to the gripes of a few ex halo players stuck in 2009 thinking they know what a perfect game in 2018 has hurt this game, added to how dysfunctional the higher ups at Bungie are.

My biggest gripe about the whole ordeal goes to how they can make cool background lore or whatever, but cant make a story I actually care about. It's also stupid that Xol and Oryx both basically manifested themselves in weapons for us to carry out their will but Oryx is basically retcon status? Wish they'd somehow bring that back.

they focused on the wrong things...

wanted to raid with my friends since they raided in D1. They didn't even bother trying to raid in this after the first month :francis:

Craziest shyt to me is that the framework for everything that needs to happen has been there from the start, even discarding the fact that D1 exists.

We've got factions on hand. There's a way to replay story missions and a mod system for missions. There's lost sectors right around the corner from every drop point. There is an economy to support all kinds of things, just nothing creative to build on. The way crucible was balanced, they could've destroyed the deathball meta with different objective modes that don't flatly encourage it.

Instead we got the worst crucible ranking system from any AAA shooter this gen. Time gated activities. Ikora still standing in the bushes. Lost sectors exist to me grinded only for exploits. And to get people back, they decided to fulfill the buzzword: "power fantasy" that is completely off the rails as people just kite until heavy drops or abilities are up.

fukk em:mjlol:

Yep, casual play is about to drop off a fukking cliff until Forsaken comes out, and likely replaces the Whisper with something else as far as crazy DPS goes. The old days of people not being able to link up via LFG because they don't happen to have the best possible gear are probably back for a little bit. Great.

I'm done.

Taking a knee for Anthem :lawd:
You never know, you might end up seeing something you like. Gonna wait and see on Anthem. Can't trust EA. Anybody who'll kill a series like Dead Space clearly ain't got no sense.
