Halo 1 and 2 had a dramatic change in art direction. 2 through Halo 4 (maybe even reach) remained remarkably consistent.
Its just not an extremely non-definitive qualifier to make about something. Did Fable 1 not look like Fable 2? Does Persona 3 not look like Persona 4 or 5 or even the fighting game because its not in the same exact setting? Are graphical improvements not taken into account so that we're not able to say that Red Alert 2 doesn't look like Red Alert 3?
You have to be able to admit how flimsy that all sounds.
Call a reveal a bit disappointing for a lot of reasons. But in those reasons, you also have to admit that the same major complaints about vanilla 1 destiny were IMMEDIATELY addressed and repeatedly during the same reveal.
I'm not one to say that people are meh just to be meh, but at the same time people need to be grown and say what it is exactly what they want and stop looking to the message board echochamber for a co-sign.
Breh.. I think y'all just not tryna see things from another angle.
Halo games all looked different and played different from one another. This isn't even up for discussion.
Persona 5 looks nothing like 3 and 4 considering it's the first HD gen Persona and has a completely new art style. Like.. what? 3 and 4 yeah they look similar but the setting is clearly different so one quick look would show one the differences.
You're talking as if the graphical improvements here are so huge. I watched the HQ video, downloaded from Gamersyde.com and it didn't look so different from D1. I even played Destiny after the reveal. The story mission looked the best, the other stuff they showed from PVP gameplay looked like D1 stuff. It's not like expectations were through the roof. I just merely expected to see 60fps PVP, a new class or two, completely new enemies etc
but again I preface this with I don't know everything about the game yet.
and the changes to D2 looked like things that could've been done to D1. When their bullet points look like their expansion pack bullet points it's not hard to say it's pretty much akin to a DLC.
This isn't unique to Destiny, this has been said about other games too. nobody is picking on Destiny breh.
