Thibs will probably play Rose the same minutes he's been playing on the Pistons. Bench shift + the last 5 minutes of the game. Derrick had the pistons winning and almost winning a lot of close games last year surrounded by garbage. GARBAGE. He's one of the best closers in the league still. He alone can win a lot of close games, and the guys on the Knicks aren't nearly as bad as the pistons were last year. Nowhere close. Shout out to Christian Wood though.

Ehh, sounds like wishful thinking. Perry's got some odd love affair with Payton. That must have been his pick in Orlando way back when, it's like getting rid of one of your kids.

He might need that though. In Dallas, he didn’t get along with Carlisle and the following year they drafted Luka. 2 ball dominant guards wasn't going to work. Then his situation in NY was bad because he was in competition with Frank Ntrashbag & then his confidence & game fell of the GWB. He's going to Detroit with no expectations. I'm a huge DSJ supporter, but this might be it for dude, unless he somehow has a Billups like career resurgence.

I still have confidence he can be serviceable. A guy I always thought had big time potential coming out of college was Jaylen Brown. I think people paid more attention to his athleticism than his skill level. Look at how he plays now. He had learned to play with pace and control and he can read the defenses much better. I dont know if DSJ will ever be that but he is too talented to not have a shot. He needs to refine his game like that and stop trying to blow past or out-jump everybody. Where he will have a harder time than Brown is that he is a PG/primary ballhandler and man...he's gotta get better with that and defense (which he has shown great flashes) to even stay on the floor.
