The tear was in the worst possible place (near the center of the knee) and estimates were really based on the average tear (which is on the sides of the kneecap). D Rose tear is likely to leave his knee bone on bone if he doesn't to the max rehab, which is moot because bone on bone will eventually happen to his knee anyway at some point.

nah, the short return was a shaving technique of the meniscus, there is a real risk of further permanent damage. No one tearing a meniscus and coming back in a few weeks at 100%
