Rose will probably be the first guy to get total knee replacement and try to make a comeback.

Here's an interesting article.
Patients who get a total knee replacement are usually advised to avoid high-impact sports to preserve their new body part. But a new study suggests sport participation is not only safe — it may even help people gain better knee function.
”Initially, we though high-impact sports were terrible for the prosthesis,” said Dr. Sebastien Parratte, a research collaborator at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and an assistant professor at the Aix-Marseille University Center for Arthritis Surgery at Hospital Sainte-Marguerite in Marseille, France.
“Our eight-year results have shown it is not the case,” he said....

I put this all on Thibs....he ruined him. Even before the 1st injury Rose suffered in 2011 against Philly I was saying that he should had already been taken out.

The Bulls need to take care of Butler...I dont want the same shyt happening to him.

Damn.. sad to see where his career play out like this. all jokes aside he was my favorite player on my favorite college team ever r(08 Tigers)

He's done tho as a star.. yall bulls fans gotta swallow that reality , talking about he was saving himself for playoffs.. he should be nothing more than a 20 min player off the bench.. 4 mil a year tops

No he didn't. None of this is on Thibs. Not one bit.

he's not even that. T-back actually had a few more great years then Drose. no he didnt win the mvp. because he was on a terrible teams until he got to houston(past his prime and his bad back finally finished him off for good.)

drose was good when he came in. got better. turned great then fell off the face of the earth fresh after his mvp season. thats unheard of. but i always knew he would have knee issues. the guy had two knee braces on when he was playing in college. the way he plays i knew that was not a good sign. and they asked him about it back then he just said something like "yeah i always had knee issues, but oh well i keep playing thru them."
my point was simply that he would be a great player who's career was shortened by injury.

A 25 year old kid ends his career after signing a massive contract, a career with almost 200 million, more money then his entire bloodline has earned in the last 500 years and Im supposed to feel bad???? Id feel bad if he was a 2nd round pick with 2 mill banked and he blew his knee out. He should thank God that this happened after he signed that fat 96 mil contract and not before. Acting like he lost a kid or something.
Your just a pathetic stan if you think my view makes me an idiot.

He's a guy who may never reach his full potential at what he wants to do, and it isn't really within his control. I think that's valid reason to feel for him.

After the trade deadline? In the 1st round of the playoffs when you the favorites to win it all??

Safe to say Rose has the worst timing with injuries

I felt for Derrick Rose. 3 years ago. When his career ended.

It's just a joke at this point. It's not like his life is over. Dude is paid. Chris Bosh got a blood clot in his lung. That's serious. Derrick Rose hurting his knee again is a joke at this point. It's hilarious seeing Bulls fans depend on this guy year after year after year in denial about the inevitable.

The Bulls are actually better without him anyway. He's not what he used to be and them waiting for him to return to form is actually holding them back. Embrace the obvious and move on. 2011 Derrick Rose is not walking though that door. :yeshrug:
