I just saw a little bit of the highlights from Day 1 and was pretty glad to see that he looks well. The league is better when D-Rose is healthy and balling in Chicago.

Call me crazy, but could Rose benefit from athletically getting a little slower? I think that would force him to slow it down and see the game differently. I am hopeful for an overall skills improvement.

He could start playing a little more like Rod Strickland with the craftiness and up-and-unders, and of course develop a jump shot if he wants longevity. No matter what, he's going to have to modify his game. He can't continue to be that explosive and expect to stay healthy; his body will not allow it.

I don't know why Derrick Rose is playing for Team USA. I can see how its an opportunity to get back into the groove, but it's also a chance to get injured for a zero-reward competition. It's not the Olympics. I figure the competition will be a 80 to 90% difficulty level compared to an NBA team, so maybe he won't go 100% all the time.
