Denny's is closing 150 locations in the latest sign of the squeeze on family dining

I wouldn't say it's all clout though. Young folks just want a popping place that's upscale and fun. Only folks that go to Denny's are 60+ yr olds.

For example, how do you mess up a hamburger or cheeseburger?

Source: I had Dennys two months ago and I swore to everything I would never go there again.

It's food, but I'm always analytical where I eat. If the restaurant looks old and dingy I'm out.

don't think it's just inflation...I think that going to these places are not seen as cool/nice by younger heads now. If it's not a more upscale place you can brag about on social media, it's heavily looked down upon. Even by broke mufukkaz.

Yup…. I’m and I remember girls getting excited about going to Chili’s…. An awesome blossom plus a bottomless margarita was the play back then….

It's food, but I'm always analytical where I eat. If the restaurant looks old and dingy I'm out.

Waffle House and Waffle spots in general and some chicken spots can be grimy but the food is stellar and people come back.

Denny's was pretty solid when I was a kid...tried it after 15+ years of not eating there and was shocked with how bad they fell off. Tried it again a few years giving them another chance and it was awful.

Red Lobster had the Beyonce shout out but other than that people are fukking with food trucks, Uber eats or maybe Chipotle on the low end or high end chains like the Cheese cake factory if they want to go out on a date.

I decent family owned restaurant has much better food and comparable prices to a Denny's or an IHOP.

The only thing saving IHOP and waffle house is the fact that they're always open.

it's all that freeze dried food made in central kitchen basically it's fast food but you have to tip them.

exactly the food is wack and it costs too much for what you get.

It's kinda hard to fukk up waffles and Pancakes. You can get the flour from anywhere and make it in store.

Getting say a London Broil cooked in Iowa and reheated in a joint in Houston in 15 minutes is gonna taste like a boot. Especially if it costs 20 bucks or less.

How come you can't get Steak from Denny's on Doordash/Uber Eats while you can in the restaurant



I like Denny's so this is sad news but the fact that you can't order steak from them on food ordering apps is some BS.

....do you want a steak from Denny's, in the restaurant or on an app? I trust them with pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, burgers etc but a steak? Hell naw.
