Enjoyed, but it could definitely have conveyed it's concepts better.
I'm not surprised. This was great. Surprised at the amount of retards in this thread
It doesn't.What is getting me right now is that once someone learns the language anytime in their future it changes the very fabric of their past
It doesn't.
Being able to experience the future at the same time as the present does affect their present state, but it doesn't affect the past. It's more like they experience the future visions as flashbacks (which are really flashforwards) because the brain registers them as memories, something you remember from the future.
i don't see how that's not the same thing. Like in the movie her present self remembers the "flash forward" memory of getting the Chinese dudes number and the words she said to him. That's the only reason she knew what to say to him in the present. Because of the flash forward. That's how it's presented anyway
Because it affects her present, not her past. Her perception of time only affects the fabric of time from the moment she learns the language, her past remains unchanged and unaltered because it has already happened.
Basically there's the zero point, the moment a person learns the universal language, and everything that happens after zero point is experienced "simultaneously". Everything that has happened before zero point though can no longer be affected.
But her present is her past in the future. And think about it, before she had learned the language she was having flash forwards. That was before the zero point. And think about the instant she learned the language. She learned it through her future self ego had mastered it (the book)
