I just said it. She's doing better than Biden would have. If Biden had stayed in, tonight would look alot closer to 1984. He was starting to lose his grip on NY state in the polling - stuff like that was why they had to pull the plug on him.

She lost because she's not the candidate that would have captured the nomination if there'd be a real primary (assuming that Biden a=had announced he was stepping down early and she wasn't primarying him). Since the 1960s we've come to expect primaries (the nomination process didn't used to always involve primaries). They defied that and it came back to haunt them.

This is what I mean: people when defending democracy will tell you that "we" choose how we run the country and what laws govern us. Then, when a madman is elected it's because "they" didn't put the right candidate forward.

How can an adult person go along with this without questioning it? How can people raising children peddle this nonsense to them as being a mature and morally sound way to view the world and citizenship? It's embarrassing.
