I beat the first boss and then died seconds later because I was going through the inventory and thought it paused the game

Somebody said do photo mode to pause the game.

Once you pick the right class, learn the enemies and rules of the world it’s not that hard.

It will punish you though if you think you can bum rush any of it.

For the most part, the level design is harder than the enemies even, lol. But if you play the game casually until you know the reads and weaknesses on each new enemy you face, it's not as hard as folks make it out to be. You just can't play it all guns blazing like most action games and the repercussions & consequences for doing so are harsher than most games.

I chose wanderer but want to start over as knight but I heard rolling kinda sucks if you do

iirc royal for magic builds, temple knight for melee

if you go magic make sure to go 4-1 and grab the crescent fachion asap. makes the game so much easier.

I mean if you want the most efficient allocation of starting stats you pick those two. royal comes with a great starter spell and a mana regen ring and tknight has a good shield.

you can do anything you want but if you are a souls newbie those two classes will make the game a lot easier for you.

I beat it twice. Once like you (how I always do) and once on some magic shyt. It was easier with magic but more fun slashing. Gonna continue that. Also its satisfying beating a magic dudes ass when they invade

Finally took down that Dragon God. That b*stard was worse than the Flamelurker. shyt now I wanna stay home and say fukk the family so I can beat this.

Yeah, I died more times on Dragon God than any other boss in the game since he damn near always 1-shots you if you get hit and that small space and camera angle seemed to throw me off when it was clear that he could see me or not. I already knew what I had to do since he was one of the bosses I beat in the OG and I don't even recall dying that much against him back then, oddly enough. Half the bosses in the game, I beat first time. Most of the others only took 2 tries. Only ones that took more than that was Dragon God, Fake King, Maneater and Old Hero killed me 2 times. I was surprised how quickly I ran threw Armored Spider and Flamelurker back to back, especially considering that I don't even remember actually fighting Flamelurker in the OG game and everyone saying how hard he was.

Once you get down what the Flamelurker’s pattern is he’s easy; roll to the right, 4 solid shots to reset him, & consume all the grass. Took me about 6-7 tries but I was drunk.

That Dragon doe was different it felt like pure luck that I beat him.
