This is a rather lazy approach to understanding the dynamics and differences across the political spectrum. There are differences in ideologies and the differences do matter. With that said we as a people would be better off creating a political agenda and then either creating a third party or getting behind candidates who support our agenda.
Its important to recognize that racism in embedded in American culture period and it intersects our political system as well. However, that doesnt mean we should be willfully politically stupid and disengaged. We shouldn't be so jaded as to disregard participating in the political process altogether. I use to have this mindset but after seeing how disgruntled and paranoid rural whites literally changed the course of human history with one vote, I now appreciate the power of voting and politics in general.
