Ok, so here's my question. The first time he got impeached was because he was trying to condition aid to the Ukrainian govt., because he wanted dirt on Joe Biden.
If I remember correctly, polls years before Cov-Id happened were saying that Biden would beat Trump, and I think there was even data going back to 2016 that suggested this (I could be wrong about the last part).
Keeping in mind that Presidents and politicians in general tend to have more accurate polling than the rest of the general pop. If Trump was pretty much guaranteed to win in 2020, why did he engage in the conduct that got him impeached the first time? Why would he have cared about obtaining dirt on Joe Biden if he was guaranteed to win reelection?
