Wild…..I get everything he’s saying but put dude on the field and see what he can do.
Johnny Manziel didn’t do none of this shyt either and we saw what he did on Saturdays. I’m sure that goes for a lot of other players as well.
Hell no, that's how you lose a team. Colorado don't got the bodies to compete with many squads on their schedule, the only way they gonna win is if they work harder and play with more heart. Start just letting shyt slide cause someone is a 5-star and the whole culture can start to backslide.
There’s zero reason that QBs can come in as true freshman and start right away but one of the highest rate DB prospects can barely get backup reps in blowouts, garbage time, special team reps.
It's completely individual to the player. There are plenty of elite recruits at all positions who aren't ready at first.
He too small to play in games but not to small to practice all summer/fall?
Are you trying to suggest that's odd?
There are wimpy-ass walkons who will never see the game field in their career, they're still taking snaps out there in practice. When I came in as a freshman I was NOT ready for the game at all, undersized and not with the schemes and just straight not there mentally. Coach would have been a fool to put me in. But I worked hard every practice and in the weight room, put on 20 pounds that season, and by maybe week 7 something clicked and I showed out in practice all week. That Saturday, I saw the field in my first ever college football game.
If Mcclain works hard, then he'll see the field too.
