Demar shouldn't finish any less than 3rd in MVP voting. You can make the case he is THE mvp this year. Bulls are at 42 wins. Before he got there they had only won 30 games ONCE in 4 years...
0 -16 against the top 3 teams in each conference? Those teams are better than the bulls from top to bottom so they should be 0 - 16.
Does it get more valuable than a player who is the major reason why a team is going to finish with at least 11 more wins than they have in 4 years? I don't see how.
When we talk about "narratives" in sports media...Demar is exhibit 1 A. Him lifting the Bulls out of the bottom of the nba to a playoff team somehow isn't the story. The story is how a team who is one year removed from 31 wins and 2 years removed from 22 wins "can't beat the top 6 teams in the league".
