This is correct.
and how many of the 360's sales were people rebuying (and I know lots of cats who did) after their shyt RROD'd.
PS3 overtook the 360 in worldwide sales, stop getting mad. Already said Xbox got the States on lock and I don't see it changing. Yall just reinforcing what people already knew.
Just three month ago there was reports that each console had 70 million sales now they both sold 7 million in less then 3 months lol at you believing bs numbers that neither sony or ms reported. WW sales is full of i bet you believe Sony dominating in japan with the vita as well huh.
You obviously don't deal with or know about company financials. They are legally obligated to report their sales. Sony's quarter ended last month. Their year end is at the end of March. You'll see another huge push in March as well with their hardware. MS fiscal year is July - June. Their quarterly numbers should be out next week or the week after for Oct 2012 - Dec 2012. You'll get their shipped numbers then as well.
And like I told yall already. Shipped is the indicator that ALL of these companies use and care about in their financial statements since THAT is what is key. SHIPPED = SOLD TO RETAILERS. That's all that matters. Once they get their money from the retailers, it's a sale. I work in distrubtion, I know the game bruh.

One flaw in shipped units vs sold units is that with items with a low profit margin and low markup like the ps3 which most stores make literally a few dollars on if any at all, is that if they go unsold for so long then they either have to be re-sent to the company or they have to redistribute. Most likely unsold units are bought back by the company and shipped again and that basically coints as 2 shipped units on the same system but not actually sold. That's why shipped units are so deceiving, and way more unsold systems are cycled than people think. Plus some big companies dont even have to pay up front, they receive the units and they manufacturer gets paid on the back end.
Imma ps3 head, but I will admit that it is dissaponting to see that none of our exclusives sell as much as halo. It's like they unfocused.
Then again, halo is a FPS..and u kno Americans love they fukkin fpses
Sony has Resistance, Socom and Killzone. Are you trying to tell us that they aren't good?
On a sadder note, and I'm being honest here. The Vita sold around 125k in December. The thing is deader than a doorknob. However, it's a great machine, I love mine but the truth is, it's the perfect device for a market that really doesn't exist.
Back to the PS3, it's a great console honestly, but for the totality of it all, it doesn't compare to a 360. The 360 has an insane attach rate of games and you will see that the next version of Xbox Live will build on that. There isn't anything being said that is hard to see about the next generation as Microsoft has been very transparent with their moves.
