it does not mean the universe is literally a hologram

"Don't mistakenly associate the word hologram with the Matrix. It's a mathematical representation of something inside something else. It's like a video playing on your screen: it's there, but it doesn't take place on your actual screen. It also hold more or different "dimensions" than your screen is (you're watching a 3d videorecording on a 2d screen)."

That perception makes up that particular person's reality though, which makes reality relative. You can't tell something that something they perceived wasn't real unless you've lived their life. You can tell them you don't believe it but that would be your own reality.

You just wanna be right, huh?

Perception of said reality is NOT reality.

And yes in some chances we can.

There was this neurosurgeon that went on trying to write books about his NDE but later was revealed to be utter bullshyt. he was saying he got up and walked around the ER and shyt but nurses who watched him 24/7 said he just had a meningitis infection and was tripping balls and going in and out of consciousness during his coma.

they're all bullshyt.

people hallucinate all the time.

Funny how you believe them instead of being skeptical of their claims though. :pachaha: Shows me where your head is.

Steady trying to find some esoteric shyt instead of accepting that people might be tripping balls under traumatic stress.
yes dead people hallucinate and then they describe the phone call the person had in the next room... dead people hallucinate then describe what people had in their hands... they hallucinate come back with information that couldn't have been obtained... since they were fukkING DEAD on an operating table then come back... must be the DMT:shaq:

What is there to work on? Neurons fire off to different areas, in combination, BOOM consciousness.... so why haven't any neuroscientist come out and stated something so simple with these cold hard facts :leostare:

because people keep moving the goalposts and aren't happy with what we've understood.

and its also hard to translate the findings in a way that'll immediately click verbally.

Its like me asking you to explain a smell using words. You'd just be using other experiences to try and explain it.

We know how the eyes work and ocular dominance columns extract color and ALL that shyt...but to explain it to someone over a web forum? Damn near impossible without the prequisite info.

I don't WANT to be right and you just said in SOME chances but not all. I do admit that there are a lot of things that are objective, which the previous poster just pointed out, but not EVERYTHING is objective, that's what I was trying to say.

they weren't dead then.

NEARLY dying...isn't dying.

and I don't believe NDE experiences. I really wonder what makes you do. Cause it sounds so fantastical and mystical?

I know you don't beleive in NDE's... no pulse... no brain activity=dead... not that it matters because they were in one room with doctors and nurses in another room talking about them and the patient was able to tell them what they were saying word for word.... not fantastic or mystical it just doesn't fit in with your world view...since your worldview=neurons firing in the brain = conciousness LOOOOL FOH

Theres no evidence that actually happened.

FYI you know its also possible to passively hear information right?

The brain remembers and can subconsciously log shyt you're unaware of.

That doesn't mean something is going on OUTSIDE of the brain.

You're trying to say augmenting consciousness via brain stimulation explains arising of consciousness and you know that's not true...

What separates the human mind from say...a bacteria that operates through chemotaxis in its aqueous environment?

What separates the human mind from animals attracted to certain wavelengths of light?

What separates the human mind from animals that detect pressure changes and act in a way that helps encourage self-preservation?

You know what...i gotta stop arguing with nikkas who ain't had biochem...:snoop:

That explains why our consciousness appears as it does, Napoleon, but not why consciousness arises. It's not hard to grasp. Brain resonance isn't a crazy concept :leostare:
