Thibs a funny nikka man.
I think it all comes down to what I posted earlier from CP in that clip. Just like Byron Scott said, he'd rather lose playing the players he wants in his own style & get fired then trying to pacify the FO & do what they want & get fired. Thibs is gonna do what he does & that's rely on Randle & probably FournierIn the grand scheme of things they just need to get the young guys playoff experience. The young guys are early enough in their careers playoff experience that isn’t one sided like Atlanta is useful. Also Reddish, IQ, and Obi all can be extended this summer. It would be good to let teams see them in that setting before they get moved.
Basically the Knicks need to walk before they run. Two seasons ago may have been a fluke, but if they can pull it off this year there isn’t any reason to think they can’t do it again in the future.
To be fair pretty much every coach would start Fournier, a proven commodity coming off breaking the teams All-Time three point shooting record over Grimes who is still an unproven young player.I mean this is to no surprise.

Grimes will have to earn it and defending at a high level like he does is going to be one way.
I hope he and Hartenstein are starting by Christmas.
I see Boston falling off some between the Ime stuff, Gallo’s torn ACL, Brogdon’s inevitable injury, Jaylen Brown frustration at trade rumors and possible growing friction with Tatum. It doesn’t seem like the chemistry will be right and expectations will be high this is a team that didn’t get it together until the new year to make their Finals run.
East is good a lot will be contingent on our health and defense this season. But it’s a wild card I could even see teams like Orlando and Detroit being as good or better than us.
Wagner is looking like he will be a problem this upcoming season.Yeah, Boston is my most likely contender to fade between injury prone bench and the Udoka drama. Idk what to make of the Brown stuff, but there's a lot of smoke about him being pissed.
Orlando's my sleeper to surprise. Paolo is legit, Wagner's jumper looked much improved at Eurobasket, and I still have hopes for Suggs. Detroit's the wild card outta everybody. I love their offseason, but still don't feel confident that they're gonna make a leap.
This is the most unpredictable the conference has been in a long time.
