We can get a first from Phoenix.
I just don’t think the Knicks trade Randle for that…

Don’t forget Dolan wants the playoffs to raise ticket prices. This team as designed will be in the run to get into the playoffs if healthy. If they move Randle they would need something coming back that keeps them in playoff contention.

It’s why I keep saying watch what they do with Fournier. His 3pt shooting is great, but defensively he can’t help hide Randle like Bullock did. RJ tried, but it’s a two man job of letting Randle defend the weakest wing/forward in every match up. That means Randle can’t mostly focus on his offense and be lazy on defense. That’s an issue, the FO should be focused on correcting. It’s a minor issue, but considering this teams talent level compared to its peers, there can’t be minor issues. They need Randle to not have off games.

Why is everyone saying SGA is the next move?
OKC is trying to tank too?

SGA to Knicks
Westbrook back to OKC
Randle and Fournier to Lakers

Throw some picks in there to make it work.

Who can they realistically get at this point in the trade market?

They probably can't get anyone major. SGA's name started coming up because Holmgren is out for the season already and they were bad last season. I think they'll try to compete at least to start the season though. I don't think we'll hear any major trade rumors until a couple of months into the season when some teams are struggling and start pivoting to the draft class.

SGA will cost a star value too. The Knicks need some of these young guys to pump their value or they'll be paying just as much for the next guy as Ainge wanted for Mitchell.

Nah Marc Berman put an article out the very next day after the trade. As usual the media started running with it immediately.

All hinges on the lakers giving up the 2 firsts and going all in on this season. but they’re getting a lot of value back for it. They SHOULD start Crowder and Fournier with Favors and Rose being key bench players.

Edit: well obviously it really depends on SGA being available

The Knicks should dump Randle for whatever and focus on our young players; give him away if you have to who cares what the return is. We're continuing the same strategy that leads us to being a 10th seed every year please switch it up.

We have NO chance at SGA if he's available( which is a big if) OKC has enough draft capital and that's all we have in terms of tradable assets. We're setting ourselves up for disappointment thinking we'll get him.

Fournier, Rose, Crowder and Favors is doing WHAT for us?

:dead:

I wouldn't give up a 2nd round pick for that. FOH :laff:

but then again you think 2 unprotected picks is getting you SGA while giving away Randle's contract :dead:
It would be three unprotected and a lottery protected.

Lakers fans are very strange. They are clearly at a dead end and feel like they can just afford to waste another year of Lebron because they don’t want to move westbrooks expiring.
