I’d do this too but the Jazz get the Lakers 27 first and we keep our 28 first.

That’s a terrible deal for the Lakers considering that they’d be doing the Knicks a favor by taking Randle’s and Fournier’s contract in return. They should be the one getting picks instead of sending them out. Getting rid of Westbrook isn’t worth taking on those type of bad contracts and money.

For them it’s about winning a championship.

Randle, Fournier, Rose would be outstanding depth pieces for them until the end of LeBron’s contract.

You mean the same outstanding depth pieces that the Knicks are trying to get rid of themselves :mjlol:

Russ is an expiring and they will have open cap space after the season, but let's take up that cap space with Randle and Fournier. Even you don't believe what you're saying.

On our team they are center pieces.

It’s different when you’re playing with LeBron and AD.

How does this need to be explained?

You're still not explaining how that trade benefits the Lakers in the slightest considering that they are still having to give up picks in the deal eventhough they're the ones taking on more money in the process. If anything, some of those picks should be rerouted to the Lakers instead.

If teams were telling them that they had to give up picks to take on Westbrook's contract, then why shouldn't they had the same in the case of Randle and Fournier? Let's be realistic here. The Knicks are getting the better player in the deal AND getting two bad deals off their hands.

Fournier, Rose, Randle significantly improve the depth of the squad.

For them that’s the benefit a potential championship this season.

This won’t happen anyway but it’s a trade with positives for all.
