:leon:

Shout out to Detroit for helping to facilitate so much of this shyt.

Noel and Burks gone while Rose is an asset in himself that could net a late 1st rounder and can still couple draft picks with Randle and/or Fournier? :leon:

I still maintain they shouldn't have been in this position to begin with, but great job resetting the clock. They took advantage of the small market of trading partners with cap space, offloading their own shyt while eliminating potential competition.

Respect.
I'd see if Dallas wants to take Fournier in a sign and trade for Brunson. Just give em Fournier or ask for a second back. Grimes can step into the starting line up. Doing so would go a long way in clearing cap space for next year.

Also I didn't realize how big Barrett's cap hold can/will be next year (either 27 or 32 mil). Knicks should approach Barrett early and get a deal done, hopefully in the 20-25 mil range. Barrett will probably bet on himself though so maybe that's pointless.

Knicks' last free agency aged like milk. They had to use assets to get rid of Walker, Burks and Noel and the Randle contract extension is already looking like complete albatross.
i told everyone and their mama to let randle play out his contract and not extend him

his playoff performance was all time bad. He didn't deserve to get paid.

I don't really see it as hurting unless they have to give up a lot to move off Burks or Noel to complete the signing. They swapped late-firsts and moved off 4 second-rounders to dump Kemba. But his contract was the least valuable of the bunch, so I'm hoping the other two are cheap to give away or maybe even bring something back in Burks' case.

The main reason I think they're pushing for Brunson is because it preserves all the picks and youths to make a second move. Here's the first Murray rumor popping up. I really don't think NY's done dealing.

This should be the year we tank for Scoot. Murray won't solve our problems.

Knicks don’t tank because Dolan want to make money from the team and raises the price of tickets whenever they make the playoffs. You have to always remember that with this team. Dolan isn’t “wealthy” compared to owners like he use to be. Them being bad has always been because they were legit bad.

There's absolutely zero chance Barrett will take less than Brunson. Literally zero unless his agent is complete ass
They're gonna be fishing for that max extension
