Honest question - who are the real talent evaluators and salary cap managers on Leon Rose’s staff?
Brock Aller is supposed to be a cap guru. Scott Perry is the GM. World Wide Wes is VP i believe. Walt Perrin is the lead scout. They also have Gersson Rosas as an advisor. This is a pretty stacked front office objectively speaking for Leon Rose which is why I still have faith that they know what they’re doing.

The word is they clearing up cap space for Jalen Brunson, he seems pretty good but do y’all really believe in Jalen Brunson that much? I’m leaning more on trying to get a real ceiling raiser on the squad or continue developing young talent until we do, I would feel differently if we didn’t already commit a nice sum of money already to Randle, and Brunson takes shots away from RJ/other young talent and Randle still needs heavy touches since we paying him as a feature player.

I don’t believe it’s just Brunson they are after because they could have signed and traded for him. The Knicks literally created cap space specifically so they wouldn’t have to sign and trade him.

Add in the crazy accumulation of picks (22 over 7 years) they are clearly after somebody else as well. Just don’t know who it is.

Okay cool that makes sense if they also go after someone else as well.

Plan A is clearly signing Brunson + trading some of the young guys plus all these picks for a disgruntled star who is looking to move.

I’ll reserve judgement until it all shakes out

If it’s Brunson, I really hope it’s Lavine. Brunson and Mitchell or Brunson and Beal is not an ideal backcourt…

I was thinking draft night if it isn't Brunson then it could be Kyrie. We don't want the drama he brings in the locker room & I'm hoping it's not him

If we knew we could get a second star but we couldn’t trade Randle, would y’all trade Obi to get Murray?

Knick bruhs is Brunson worth a max contract?
It’s like your team treating him like a super star
I would understand Murray because he’s
talented but Brunson!?
It looks like Knicks will keep Randle
Randle & Brunson on max contract

Clown said “feeding off of the momentum from the end of last season”.:mjlol:

I think stacking draft picks is a smart move for the Knicks.

But they can't sabotage themselves by trading for and signing expensive veterans the moment they are even moderately successful.
That's been somewhat of a modus operandi for the Knicks for decades now.

They moved Kemba Walker. Next should be Julius Randle. And if they have to endure the growing pains of Obi Toppin and RJ Barrett, so be it.

If they give Brunson the max, it will be a huge mistake.

I think at the very least, Randle will play backup with max contract.
