He was assisted on 68% of his overall jumpers and on 91% of his threes specifically :francis:

An Ivey and Barrett duo where those two have the ball the majority of the time will be easy to scheme for in the playoffs.

Toppin and Quickley have modern games they are more portable and more efficient than Barrett is it has nothing to do with aesthetics.
playoffs?!? If done right, this team would be 2-3 years away from the playoffs and you have no idea what type of players they’ll be by then.

you talking about playoffs when ivey would be a rookie and rj is 22. we have way too many holes as a unit to think playoffs. bro what???
well duh they were assisted, if you think ivey is going to develop into a playmaker............then obviously rj is going to get assisted looks....now compare his assisted percentages from the year before whe his 3s were literally assisted 99 percent of thee time...and so were his jumpers overall.....and his efficiency didnt fall off a cliff beyond the anomalies from the corners.
do you think floor spacers are dribbling 15 times and taking 3s like dame most of the time?
his usage went up considerably and had better efficiency compared to his start of this season when he was lower usage.
obviously he has a ways to go but this hate is type nasty and unnecessary. obi's game isnt nowhere near as portable as you think it is if his jumper isnt falling. as i say this i want him on this team going forward
Rj Barrett Stats Since January 1st | StatMuse and yeah rj took a jump. progression isnt linear. there will be spikes and luls

Who we taking at 6? Mathurin? At which point doesn’t he have to start? Or do we start IQ?

Brogdon-Rose-McBride
IQ-Mathurin-Grimes
RJ-Fournier-Burks
Obi-Cam-Taj
Mitch-Sims-Noel

I don’t hate it at all. My only thing is why would they want Randle? I’ve been pawning off Randle to the Kings because they’re a dumb franchise and to Portland because they’re a bit desperate and Randle as the second option next to an elite floor spacer like Dame does work on paper. I don’t know what the logic is for Indiana taking on Randle AND moving back 5 spots.
They just let Sabonis go, and Keegan is probably going to the Kings. They need a PF…. Plus the Knicks could always throw that iffy Mavs pick in as well to make them feel better.

It feels like a Brock Aller trade where they moves stuff to get something good that could be valuable later. If Brogdon is healthy next year, he becomes a vary valuable expiring and they could always flip him themselves for a late first. If he is injured well fukk it’s one more year and he’s off the books, plus they got rid of Randle and moved up a few spots in the draft while getting him.

So it’s not a total loss.

they didn't trade Sabonis to make room for acquiring Randle.

This would be a solid play for us

IQ/RJ/Hayward/Randle/Mitch is not bad at all because Hayward can also playmake so we don’t need a traditional pg

Small ball of
IQ/Grimes/RJ/Hayward/Randle would also be pretty damn solid
To a man, most feel the Knicks aren't looking at centers at all because they think Mitch is coming back
