Booker was already a clear capable first option tier three level scorer as early as his third season his game was clearly polished like that. The skill was there in fact he hasn't improved that much over the years but he has an excellent supporting cast and coaching now.
Doesn’t change my point that his perception was nowhere near his actual level of talent.

100% co-sign to all of that. I’ve been worried Mitch will walk for a while now, and even with Mitch/Sims back; they could try to dump Noel and have smith as back-up 4 plus injury insurance. We know mitch takes his lumps. Just in terms of under-the-radar targets; I think Sims is a REALLY worthwhile option.
I agree… he makes a lot of sense, and as a UFA the Knicks can complete the transaction and avoid RFA nonsense which is something I think they really appreciate.

The tools are all there? I think that’s where we’ll disagree. He has the tools to be a good player. The tools to be given the keys to your franchise? Ehhh…
What’s he missing? His 2 biggest flaws are explosiveness and shooting.

What I’m learning to appreciate is what he lacked in explosiveness he makes up on strength. I’ve said on here his rookie year that when he gets to his prime we can see him leverage his strength and he’s already doing it in year 3. He’s only going to get stronger.

His shooting is going to be the difference imo. I’m willing to bet he can become an average shooter purely based on the fact that he gives a fukk and that it’s the easiest skill set to improve for a basketball player who isn’t a mental midget.

Brehs, say the Wizards call and offer KP and pick 10 for Randle and Burks and pick 12? :patrice:

Would you accept? Counter? Or just hang up?

Hear me out, KP has 2 year 70 million on his contract. Randle has 4 years 117. I know he’s injury prone but he does help create space for young guys and should solve our stretch big problem for Obi and RJ. I’ll hang up and listen. :jbhmm:
