The story about Dean Smith and Grant Hill is crazy...shows more about Dean Smith than it does about Grant Hill.
Long story short, Dean Smith drove from UNC to Virginia to have dinner at the Hill residence one night in order to recruit Hill to Duke. Shows up, Grant Hill basically paid no mind to Dean Smith all night, then cuts out of dinner early cause he "had homework to do". Hill decided he was going to Duke about a week before Smith and his parents arranged the dinner. Once Grant cuts out of dinner early, Dean asks what's wrong and if Grant is okay, and Hill's parents tell Dean that he already committed to Duke. Amazingly, unlike most other coaches, Dean Smith keeps his cool and does not lose his shyt. All Smith says is "I wish you would've told me, I could've been having dinner with my family."

That's not his recruiting class. The only part I messed up on was I think it was matt dautry who brought those players in. Roy Williams has not produced a great NBA player. Think about it.....
