The point isn't that Floyd didn't fight excellent competition, he did, but when one starts dissecting it that is where Floyd's flaws come from. Not from the ring. Floyd will go down as one of the greatest ever, but there is no denying that if Floyd was near flawless with his performances in the ring, the timing of many fights were not flawless. Like I said, most view his fight vs. Corrales as his best fight ever. That was a case where Corrales was viewed as the man at the time and many had Floyd as an underdog. Floyd went in and laid a beating on him. When was the next time Floyd fought a prime fighter who was considered great? He had the opportunity vs. Pacquiao, but the fight never materialized (again I am not blaming Floyd).
