This is not a race thing. There’s no way you believe that.

It has every damn thing to do with race and it's depiction of it's black male lead character. Especially in a superhero flick.

The rock is probably the most famous person on the planet and loved by the majority.

You mean like how Will Smith was until he went "off script" back in March :mjpls:

Rocky has gone off script with Black Adam. Black Adam is not a safe negro superhero which is the conventional black male superhero archetype. And what cacs expect of a black superhero.

The movie made $67 million in its first weekend

You’re talking like it bombed

And another thing, I don't have to judge this based upon what happened in a competitors comic book universe. All I have to do is decide was the movie entertaining for two hours.

Furthermore, since we all know the DC extended universe has yet to be established, it can make its own rules @Bryan Danielson @Peter Popoff

Professional Hit job by cac reviewers and nerd reviewers :sas2:

For cac reviewers: A non safe fully independent negro superhero who is depicted as the most powerful man on the planet "isn't good storytelling" and is off script :mjpls:

Add in that this same character is killing cacs indiscriminately and showing no mercy and can ONLY be challenged by other black people one of which is a NON GOOFY/COMEDIC black man who is charge of his own Avengers and a sista in charge of America's military/covert ops. Yeah... they aint going with that :mjpls:.

If you look at the audience demographics for this movie, you'll see cacs DIDN'T SHOW UP like they normally do, only 29% did, which means they weren't fukking with the premise INITIALLY :mjpls:

Now for the nerd reviewers: They don't want The Rock entering and controlling their "safe space/precious DCEU" even though without Rocky this movie doesn't even get made along with a certain character being brought back. They also feel a certain character being introduced is above The Rock/Black Adam.

Too many BLACK FOLK in positions in power in this film. Even the MCU was :mjpls: even when Chadwick was still alive. Now that he is gone, its basically 99% CAC.

When your movie has a $200m budget, $67m ain't good enough

If China doesn't play ball, this movie is DEAD
you're shockingly full of shyt

Hobbs and Shaw opened at $60, cost the same $200mm, and ended at $760mm. There wasn't a number it would've hit that you would've said was a success.

Rock is the biggest box office draw in hollywood other than a rejuvenated Tom Cruise right now, and this was his biggest weekend ever...with no holiday or anything...

this is a win

EDIT: and BTW already hit $73mm internationally and is at $140mm globally.

It's basically another hit job at Disney into believing that DCEU movies don't profit much.
